As a hippie in a former life I enjoyed living in PJ2 & a family we called Common Logic (the logic in living & doing things in common.) Seth lived in a different space in the same building for a while. His group called themselves the Green Egg. Life in PJ2 was fun & exciting & one of the most fascinating sociological experiments of that decade. We lived in San Francisco during the later days of the flower children decade. The Spirit was freedom in most areas, but we did have to deal with the reality of basic necessities. I had a job in a bank & shared what I could provide with my family & some of the extended family of the whole PJ2. All of this was voluntary. Most of PJ2 was artistic in some way. I was more entrepreneurial. My father nailed it one day when he pointed out what the greatest failing would be: lack of any economic survivability - no economic infrastructure - many lived on government. 
5/11/2012 - Bottom up socialism might work as long as it wasn't morphed back into a federal democracy. I still prefer the concept of a synergy of individuals aligned with liberty but devoted to brotherhood (fraternity) where the common aspirations of humanity are at play. Top down works for principles where there is that common aspiration, but the implementation belongs at the bottom inspired by the principles. Fuck the pyramid schemes of large federal governments.

That's because if Mom, Dad, and Son registered to be cleared by the Secret Service, but Mom, Dad, Son, and Little Sis' show up at the White House, their security clearance is out of whack. And good luck getting the Secret Service to babysit. "All White House tour guests, regardless of age, are required to provide identification information as part of the tour request. This includes children and infants," according to Secret Service Spokesman Brian Leary.
"In the particular instance of an infant yet to be born at the time of the tour request, if they are expected to participate in the tour parents are expected to provide basic information as a placeholder," he told Yahoo News by telephone. "This placeholder information must be updated after the birth of the child and prior to the tour."

By scaling up the digestive wind of cows, they estimate that the population of dinosaurs - as a whole - produced 520 million tonnes of gas annually.
They suggest the gas could have been a key factor in the warm climate 150 million years ago.
