Where's Bilbo?

Because there was no Bilbo and no Baggins to be found at the FBI and that’s just wrong! Now the sexy hobbit Bilbo Baggins has a home in the shire.

Try search bilbo and search baggins or just search sexy hobbit.

p.s. Press enter in the full search box instead of choosing an item to get a search room.

follow tags to Wikipedia

Si says
Granted, something that is a picture only, with no text caption, could use a tag or two … but everything else is nicely tagged with luscious words already! Tagging is like doing everything twice or thrice. Maybe for some that helps them remember better … repetition does tend to improve remembering. Words are tags. As you say, that’s what language is, tags. I guess I’m just not into the double tagging thing.

Si says
… and then, you will need filters for tag rooms. Yea filters, um … searches? LOL

As much as you make that sound like “it’s a tag thing”, really it’s not. You are following a “search” to Wikipedia. Only a few of your so called “external tag rooms” are really tags. Everything else is the all mighty search!  LOL
seth 2016-01-17 12:24:49 [item 19689#42480]
well well you are interperting “tag” quite a bit more literally than am I.   you see, in my ontology, i do not really need to distinguish between naming something as we do to create language and tagging somthing.   to me they are the same process and end up with the same result.   that was Bozo’s enlightenedgestalt here … something that you apparently refuse to get.
nathan 2016-01-17 12:29:53 [item 19689#42481]
Likewise you seem to refuse to get that, as you say, ~language is a tag~ … so why do all the extra work of putting more “words” on things? The words themselves are already tagging everything!
seth 2016-01-17 12:42:02 [item 19689#42484]
because tagging is what *you* bring to the language game.  it is *you* naming.  it is *you* building the web of language … not only for yourself (which you have proven that you do not need for only yourself … me i do need it) … but also for the purpose of communicating to others.

fact is my breakfast was far far more what i was talking about and showed them explicitidly right there in the room … your search breakfast would find them all (but maybe not because i might not have even mentioned “breakfast” in the thought) … but then the reader would need to select out subjctively themselves what they would presume that i was talking about.
nathan 2016-01-17 12:53:01 [item 19689#42488]
Well as I said elsewhere, even when your brain supports that kind of language structure, won’t it become unusable when lots of people are using the obviously smaller set of tags people will tag things with? Very soon tag rooms will be huge!
nope .. language works very well indeed … globally … even multiple languages across the world …. we all do end up communications if we do have enough of the good will to communicate.

but, yes, totally sure … to focus we need filters … absolutely … as we grow in users i expect that will become abundantly clear.

and incidentally twitters hashtags is way ahead of us there … and is working surpubly to the purpose that i have in mind … notwistanding people’s degrading of that with your famous !bamtags.

incidentally you could improve search search rooms by incluing a section in them of searching taggings.
nathan 2016-01-17 12:50:24 [item 19689#42487]
Yea, I thought of that, and a chill ran up my spine! I will need lots of thermal blankets, and a jigger of Gin on hand, to make that feature!

BTW Darwin has shown that Google knows how to do search & has a multiplicity of features from any single word to phrases to site searches to pictures …… & Windows appareltly allows voice input.

Computer – find me some decent design specs for fastblogit search !

seth 2016-01-17 14:09:40 [item 19689#42500]
well, mark, we already have a better search than we could have had by developing google’s search for this site.   so in this case timing is king.   at some point, i agree, using googles super advanced natual language search might well yield more pertinant results … but we must run from where we are not where we imagine that we could have been.

some day even at fastblogit we will just ask and the thinking domains will give us the exact answer we wer looking for.   why don’t you go get a developer and work here to make that happen faster?
Mark 2016-01-17 14:15:06 [item 19689#42501]
FYI, I wasn’t saying use theirs. Theirs has survival power & they know how to do a search. I was using Copernicus before which allowed saving the results, but ….. story is complete. Use that inspiration if nothing else.  My excitement is more of a tangent to yours or something else like Axon, TheBrain, Cinderella .thumbs upcool

The things that excite me have little to do with piles of words – more with architectural & visual symmetry to find & associate things with.

Kewl thumbs up … the more aspects of a thing we explore the better smug  … pondering strange 5 pointed figure you represent … is it possible as an equalateral solid in 3 space?

me, i am into the language game and makiing my representations truer and truer … i fantasize that i am playing the glass bead game … we can all play in larger and larger boxes.

I picked it out of Grammar of Changes §XXX page 40-41 – Don’t you have the book?   grammar of changes
Mark 2016-01-17 16:03:07 [item 19689#42512]
If you want one put 6 nickels in the development bucket (not for me) & I will send you one.
seth 2016-01-17 19:07:07 [item 19689#42513]
well i got Grammar of Changes but i sure would tip 6 nickels for a 5 pointed platonic solid … got one of those?
Mark 2016-01-17 19:16:56 [item 19689#42517]
nope!  Somewhere I have sticks & or there is lots of stuff on the web: http://goo.gl/l0Rn0s
seth 2016-01-17 19:29:08 [item 19689#42518]
i would even like to feel 10 sticks of the same length stuck together from 5 points with 4 sticks coming out of each point in 3 dimensions going to each of the other points.  … 6 nickels for that wink
Mark 2016-01-17 19:40:51 [item 19689#42525]
laughingYour requirements may not work in reality.  Try it with straws & silly putty.
seth 2016-01-17 19:44:07 [item 19689#42527]
i expect it will not work in 3 dimensions … else, me thinks i would have seen it already wink.   how many dimensions would we need?
Mark 2016-01-17 20:44:09 [item 19689#42544]
Your requirements that they all be the same length is unnecessary.  Can’t even make a tetrak that way.
seth 2016-01-17 21:05:53 [item 19689#42552]

well to me, making edges equilateral is what makes the structure special.
Mark 2016-01-17 21:07:18 [item 19689#42554]
thanks . tuit
BTW in the book you could notice that these are point sets & connections – hence more of a network than a solid. pondering
