I’ve noticed this myself. I’ve also noticed that i am less interested in my Facebook feed because of it.

Is this really Facebook’s doing … or is it people changing?

Odd. I am more interested in my Facebook feed now. Now people have passed through the highly necessary selfie phase, which was a wonderful thing because it made people aware of their own importance, which always MUST be first and foremost or one is not useful as the creator of their own reality, and are now moving on to become more actively interested in the global state of their reality and it’s relation to others. Evolution is exploding right in front of us through FB and other social media, almost in real time!

We are alive in one of the most fantastic times, in all of history past and future, this planet will ever see!

it’s not so much all the selfies, its the rush from original content to repeated content. i like to see more what people make themselves, not just what it easy for them to repeat. but then i am kind of the blame there for subscribing to all these pages which are just repeating memes. i need to focus my subscriptions more on people who are generating original content.

Low attention span people, publicly educated, combined with lots of twitterings & Babel supporting electronics makes the world go round. I repeat my theory that the Internet first grew out the desire to talk anonymously, sexy-dirty & show explicit pictures to others & the possibility of hook-ups … was happening on the Apple-II & the 256 baud modems when I first grew the theory.

incidentally study the culture that started with TBl , Vint Cerf, etc and the RFC’s and you will get a more accurate feeling of how “the internet first grew”.
