first black president?

I wonder, if Obama gets to be president whether he will consider himself to be the first black president .... that will go a long way in my mind toward proving whether he is a racist or not. The direct question would be: " Obama you are mixed-racial, 50-50? (or something)- why the first black president?

The only thing that would make Obama a racist is if what he has said or done anything that was racist (by the common sense definition not your idealistic notion). So before you call Barak a racist, I challenge you to find a single instance of racism in his speech or actions. <snip ad hominem bullshit>

It was really a double jeopardy question proposed to Obama. If he answers other than he is the first multi-ethnic president ( or dodges the question slightly by saying he is the president for all human-Americans) then he is NOT racist by my definition & only a racist one drop theory will give him the title of the first black president. Frankly, if he were to take such a non-racist stand & decline such a title as the first black president he would go a long way toward instantiating 714 & hence hammer the final nails in the coffin of racism.

But he won't.

I bring it up because the Democrat party & the media will shit their pants trumpeting a new first if he gets the nomination.

What those of us who believe that 714 is not just an ideal (me!) here's the solution. Turn the distinctions of race into similar meme as racism has become. Those who are good at making memes such as TV advertisers & movie makers & the NLP crowd would probably not take long to come up with some very good vehicles to spread the meme. Make race & racism politically incorrect. The seeds are already there - accelerate their growth.

Yep he wrote a book about it. It does not come as a surprise to me that one aspiring to be the first mixed race president of the US should study the race matter carefully and express his experiences publically.

So then why are you continually bringing up race in this election cycle?

Actually if you read most of yesterday's posts I have moved on, even beyond race & somewhat beyond religion to O's character & principles as in 10112. One thing I would like to get a hold of is O's writings, if any, in the Harvard Law Review. It would go some way toward predicting what kind of principles in the domain of law & justice were on his mind at the time of his editorship. What kind of judges might he appoint?
