It is hard to parse this comment rationaly. Are you sayin that the unintended consequences of Gore's actions is "the price of gasoline" ? Only related unintended consequence is Bush's ethanol subsidy causing the rise in the price of corn. It's hard to blame that stupidity on liberalism. But i'm sure you will find a way.

Liberalism seeks to control private behavior rather than actually solve problems! The price of gasoline is in part due to the belief in limited supplies & part due to environmentalism which prevents further refineries, nuclear power plants & drilling for oil. The ethanol subsidy is mostly the doings of Congress in particular those belonging to the corn belt states. It's easy to blame stupidity in general on liberalism - look at the sorry state of public education which was built by the teacher's unions which provide that public education has very little competition & bad teachers continue their tenure to teach badly. Not only is ethanol bad, but bio-diesel is bad - not nearly as earth friendly as some would have you believe. Notice that not one hurricane, cyclone, typhoon or tornado has been turned back by these wizards of climate change.
