wiki references

 

Wiki references are not the same as WikiWords.  They are more like English.  They allow you to hyperlink to items and rooms in your domain without needing to form those pesky URL's.



The following should become Wiki References:

• group seth  hyperlinks to the group room seth
• s cybermind hyerlinks to the tag room cybermind
• [type: tag cybermind] a labeled reference
  
• s cybermind, search hyperlinks to the tag room for cybermind AND search
• cybermind,search both this and the one above should work
  
• Seth Russell hyperlinks to a room where all the items are titled "seth russell" - matching is case insensitive
  
• 1000 hperlinks to the permalink for item # 1000
• NO-LABEL permalink is a synonym for item
• uri http://speaktomecatalog.com
  
• url http://speaktomecatalog.com  url and uri are synonomyous
  
• cats hyperlinks to tag room cats. 
  
• s cats,tits tags and tag are synonyms here.
  
• and this [refers to nothing]
• [great guy: title seth russell] a labeled reference

Further notes:

• wiki references are always converted to lower case
  
• You cannot format inside of a wiki reference but you can create a format that includes the wiki reference. For example:
• This works  because this whole line is italic  [see: item 1000]
  
• And this bold format inside the reference does not work because it is inside the reference [see: item 1000]
  
• The linking of  square brackets is applied on output.  They are carried as unlinked text in the edit boxes and into the data base.
• Interdomain wiki references are not as yet defined - use url's instead
