Hillary -VS- Obama -VS- McCain delegate spending

Hillary spent $109,823 per delegate that she won. How much did Obama spend? It's not clear but this article says he spent $157,534 just in media advertizing alone. Now when they go around touting their priorities in spending I wonder if anyone will notice their own spending patterns. BTW, McCain spent 157K so there is plenty of big spenders in this election just out of the gate.  By some it is estimated that the costs will exceed a billion before the president is elected.
That's a good reason to vote:

Take a look at how many people contributed to Hillary's and McCain's campaign vs how many contributed to Obama.  That will tell you who's money is being spent.  People do have the right to spend their money where they want.  Isn't that a republican principal?

Now for the first time in a presidential election Obama is spending people's money and not special intereste lobbyists.   I'm confident that Obama will spend the $25 that i gave him wisely.   Critiziing a candidate for spending more of their backers money than your candidate has to spend is just  sour grapes.

What's new in 2008 is that all the candidates are successfully using their websites  and email to raise money.  It is certainly refreshing from the old alternative of $1000 a plate frund raising dinners.  The only thing that kind of rubbs me the wrong way is that every email from the campaign now ends with the famous red button ... makes me feel like that's all they want from me.  It's just a feeling, but i don't like it.  But there is no difference between candidates here.

As a matter of practicality, I may just have to vote for the least disgusting of all the options for president.

Btw, voting "none of the above" is not to participate in the election.  Who did you vote for in the primary?
I didn't vote in the primary. For some reason they don't send out independent ballots or notices.

It's like those Million $$$ Super Bowl Ads - the products are not worth it.

in Washington you don't tell the state what your party affiliation is ... they send the ballots to everybody and the citizen decides where he puts his vote.

This item was just a reality check for those of you who don't quite make that much in an entire year! McCain-Feingold tried to limit money in campaign finance & since then more has been spent than ever dreamed of.  The solution is simple, remove all limits (except foreign entities) & institute an absolute requirement to fully document (who, what, when, where, why & how etc.) every contribution, in-kind as well as $$$ on the internet immediately upon bank receipt. Penalty for failure to do so is impeachment. The amount of money spent on each delegate raises the question how much of what was promised to the super-delegates for their vote?
