I noticed in the exchanges about the economy that both sides made bold assertions about each other's programs without any supporting explanations. Bush cut taxes & avoided a recession yet Obama wants to raise taxes (delete the former tax cuts) in the face of rising oil prices & the possibility of a recession. Which is it? Cut taxes in a recession or raise them. JFK cut them. Regan cut them & the treasury got more revenue. I'm betting raising taxes will cause a disaster. The important thing is that the tenor of the campaign seems to be just dueling assertions without any explanation.
Lets cut the bull!

Obama wants to raise taxe
Obama wants to cut taxes for the middle class and raise them on the rich.  This might have the same effect as Regan's tax cuts on the overall economy.  To my knowledge this country has not had any experience with this kind of redistribution.

They already pay. The idea is simply wealth redistribution & typical liberal class envy.
