In Spanish language ads Obama's campaign lies with out of context quotes.

A quote from Alinsky on ethics (Rules for Radicals - chapter 2 - on means & ends) for some light on what O's campaign must be inspired by here:

"The eighth rule of the ethics of means and ends is that the morality of a means depends upon whether the means is being employed at a time of imminent defeat or imminent victory." or is it "The third rule of ethics of means and ends is that in war the end justifies almost any means." - I suspect the latter. Perhaps this also applies in this instance - "The tenth rule of ethics of means and ends is that you do what you can with what you have and clothe it with moral arguments". I suspect the tenth rule will be applied when O's camp issues their spin on the ads (if any).

You would have projected this item more accurately if you would have indicated in the title that the article was by Rush Limbaugh defending himself. The ad makes visual associations between Rush and McCain which cannot be justified. I am ashamed that Obama ran the ad.

Here is another ad, this time by the McCain camp, which repeats the lie that Obama is advised on Mortgage matters by former Fannie Mae Chairman Frank Raines, a black man. Now why did they use Raines when they could have made a better case against Jim Johnson, the former Fannie Mae chairman who had to resign as head of Obama's vice presidential search team. Obviously it was because of the sinsiter visual association. The ad will have a visceral racial impact to some white people. McCain should be ashamed of running it.

Well why not publish the entire audio segment so that we can determine?

Presumably Rush on the Monday program will have a Spanish translator on as well & present his side of the argument. Listen-up or shut-up. I don't have the permission to republish his programs.

Then he could have said the same thing and have been honest. The immigrants are smart enough to know that McCain is a right-wing republican. It's that last little unjustified twist of the knife that gets you in these vicious rwg games.

Nothing in the ad from McCain used the racist designation black that you and your rebuttal cronies insinuated. What's the McCain camp supposed to do photoshop Obama & his associates into another color? There is some connection between Raines & Obama. Here is more info. It would be nice to clear that up.

Wow you sound angry. I understand why: if my favorite commentator was exposed as being a racists, i might get angry and defensive too.

The left likes to call racism at every opportunity (justified or not). If they actually argued on the merits of their positions they would loose & loose big every time they ran. They are phony & can't be exactly what they are. They have to gin up hate & discontent to get anywhere at all. Enjoy your RWG - possibly a new couplet coming soon.

In the interest in facts rather than bloviations, here is a pointer to a reddit dialogue and and original story that McCain based his attack on. Perhaps someday Raines will give a public interview and tell us, convincenly, what the allegid phone calls were about. [expected usual rwg deleted]

Why use a bad reddit when you could have gone to the original story.
