The Sorry State of Journalism

If you do not tell the truth about the Democrats -- including Barack Obama -- and do so with the same energy you would use if the miscreants were Republicans -- then you are not journalists by any standard.
You're just the public relations machine of the Democratic Party, and it's time you were all fired and real journalists brought in, so that we can actually have a daily newspaper in our city.
Yet when Nancy Pelosi accused the Bush administration and Republican deregulation of causing the crisis, you in the press did not hold her to account for her lie. Instead, you criticized Republicans who took offense at this lie and refused to vote for the bailout!
What? It's not the liar, but the victims of the lie who are to blame?
Now let's follow the money ... right to the presidential candidate who is the number-two recipient of campaign contributions from Fannie Mae.

"CNN ripped the National Review's Byron York's quote completely out of context and stood its meaning on its head, all so they could dishonestly bash Gov. Palin with it. This is the lowest form of sub-tabloid journalism. CNN's distortion simply proves York to be correct: the media are out to destroy Sarah Palin.

"That was Chicago politics," said John Kass, a veteran Chicago Tribune columnist. "Knock out your opposition, challenge their petitions, destroy your enemy, right? It is how Barack Obama destroyed his enemies back in 1996 that conflicts with his message today. He may have gotten his start registering thousands of voters. But in that first race, he made sure voters had just one choice."

The panic whipped up by the McCain campaign in PA sounds horrific because of the ugliness and hate that it pours into the election, but the real threat it poses to our ability to get things done. If John McCain were to win the election by kicking up enough anti-Muslim, anti-African-American, anti-Liberal, conspiracy theory rage--he would have transformed the country into utter chaos in the process. Such a campaign--if victorious--would push our civic culture beyond the point where it was able to recover and function. And under such conditions, McCain would ultimately preside over a nation capable of little more than pitchforks and torches.

Mark, you might want to consider this argument seriously ... and not just respond out of partisan knee jerks. IOW answer the question honestly: What happens in America if McCain wins?

FoxNews strives for balance but they avoid leaning left

FoxNews strives for balance but they avoid leaning left

To me both channels are pretty much symmetrically complementary. MSNBC has a left wing addenda but includes conservitive views to appear balanced. Fox has a right wing agenda but includes liberal views to appear balanced. If you want a channel that actually does strive for fair and balanced, go to CNN. Or if you want a better truth, as do I, watch all three and the internet as well ... then you can pick and choose what to believe. But it was kind of a trick question ... if you don't see the channels as i see them, then it proves to me that you yourself are looking at the news from a right wing adgenda. I mean come on ... if i look at something and it looks deep blue and you see pink, than who's perceptions am i going to go with.

She added that she would prefer a lunch date with right-leaning Fox News star Sean Hannity over left-leaning MSNBC star Keith Olbermann.

I wish you would return shit like this to the other 10689 & not pollute the discussion on economics . If you can't tell the difference then I will move it myself to the bit bucket.

... If you put a lense on any group of very passionate supporters (inside or outside the beltway) on either side you are likely to find that it's not that pretty. Welcome to world of politics.

they should do the same for the twits in Hollywood.
