Does anyone ever wonder why if Barack Hussein Obama is embarrassed (or?) by his middle name why didn't he change it? He could do it or could have done so a long time ago. The answer is he isn't embarrassed (or ?)!

Well he once joked that it was given to him by someone who obviously didn't think he was going to be running for the president of the United States. But outside of not being popular with culturally intolerant people, what's wrong with it? Btw he used to go by the first name "Barry" but reverted to his actual given name. Probably out of respect for his father. Read his book "Dreams of My Father" to get a better sense of this relationship.

What is despicable is people, like you and Ann Coulter, who use his middle name as a code word to marginalize him ... to imply he is less American ... to imply he is not one of yours. Again this tells us more about you, than it does about Obama. From my perspective, that he stuck with his given name, despite its political disadvantages, tells us volumes about his character.

During the election here he would probably create an international incident if he got rid of it. It does appeal to the Middle Easterners like those in Michigan, Minnesota & Chicago & gives him more votes.

If I had a middle name like Adolf Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot or Saddam Hussein I would have changed it long ago; but then I was born & raised in the good old USA.

Question is were Muslims his base in Chicago (or anywhere else for that matter)? Now if he was working in certain areas of Detroit that may have been a different matter. But having some tangential association certainly would not give him a reason to emphasize his middle name. You statement does not even make practical political sense. You mush Muslims in with Right and Sharpdon ... like you cannot distinguish between a Christian and a Muslim. Fact is Muslims have never been his base, black or otherwise. To imply the opposite is to misrepresent ... not that there is anything wrong with Muslims. Why don't you just admit you said something stupid and move on? I'm though with it myself.
