If you add or edit an item ?
You always want to retrun to that item in it's group where you found it ?

Note that editing an item will push it on top of the stream in your group. So that alone will take you out of where you found the item back in ancient history.

I think that if you put a comment on an item that you should return to the part of the stream where you found it and land near that item. I was in the common river this AM (about 3 pages deep) and started a comment with the RTE, then changed my mind and landed back at the beginning of the stream. That would be very confusing to a newbie.

this is another good idea. i tagged it $wish,navigation and that should be on the [title project plan] somewhere. Note that there is now a connocical term, "the river" or perhaps "the fastblogit river" ... we no longer need to stumble around trying to find a term.
