I will give Obama a gig for claiming the stimulus package must be passed in a hurry.  Me thinks that is an over statement. I've tagged this item into gig obama so that i can track them.  However, as to the fear, the jobs situation is certainly dire ... see chart from Brain Beutler which compares this recession with previous ones.

Most of this is a self-fulfilling prophecy spawned by fear & survival instincts, not hope! The more the government hypes the more & the faster the tornadic spiral turns. I'm very unclear how pouring trillions of dollars down the spout of this tornado headed for the toilet bowl of nations is going to solve anything; especially those things done in a hurry with only politics in mind.

Will a real leader ever show up who can stop this fucking tornado?
