Obamanomics - The Budget

Years ago a hamburger company got attention by showing a little old lady obviously upset asking "Where's the beef?" while looking at a tiny little burger.

I ask of BHO now, "Where's the stimulus?" (where are the jobs?) of Obama's non-stimulus package & his pork-laden budget that has "no earmarks" in it.

Government spending rarely stimulates or creates permanent jobs. Hand somebody a free credit card & they will spend it to the limit & then wait for another one. The Chinese proverb "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for the rest of his life" seems to be being ignored by the Obama administration. We already have lots of skilled & unskilled workers willing to work. What is needed is focus on stimulating business to the extent that business believes that it can succeed. Punishing taxes & burdensome regulations need to be removed - then hiring will begin again. The stock market is not something to be envious of it is the way businesses gather capital to do more business. Apparently the business community doesn't think that things are going to get better. Apparently the business community thinks that taxes will go up. Apparently the business market will lay off more people as a result. Apparently Obama is going in the wrong direction!

In a meeting with the House Ways and Means Committee yesterday, (tax cheat) Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner threw down the gauntlet of the Obami to international companies doing business in the United States: no more dodging U.S. taxes! According to the AP report, he “also said the administration will try to limit wealthy Americans' ability to use tax havens to avoid taxation.” Not that they’d know anything at all about that.
