Create a better set of emoteys

~
Use some of the micro expressions in Lie To Me's Dr. Paul Ekman. With the expanded set we can refine the availability to express the feeling side of this blog or some other one.

Other emoteys suggested for facebook besides the like button:

I try to express from my limited pallet an emotey that expresses MY feeling at the time of pushing the submit button. Anything else would be phantasy.

Notice that none of this deals with the body of the item itself. Also you are trying to setup a grammar for emoticons which situation I resist.

no problem ... just making pertinent observations.  i have been wanting to say this for some time ... this item just gave me a opportunity.  no biggie.

incidentally the idea of me doing further development here at fastblogit, like for example enhancing the icons, is almost certainly not going to happen.  the biggest problem here is the lack of writing access for modern browsers.  nathan was thinking of making a zappy new wysiwyg editor for wordpress ... who knows maybe we could get him to install it here ... but since he is so turned off by the site we would probably need to pay him ... which is fine with me ... he is reasonable and does fast work ... but i don't have any money for that.
Notice this was a 2009 item to begin with I thought it nice place to post the facebook buttons. It is fine the way it is. Somewhere 4717 I put some private thoughts together to grasp maybe what this could be or an evolutionary possibility. Would not want to work with or pay anyone who does not declare some form of principles of fraternity if not the ones we grew up with.

Yes our emotions here at fbi are severely limited.  I like the enhanced spectrum in the table in this item.  But i think invoking emotions directly in the text of what is said is almost better.  That way the subject and object that invokes the emotion is explicitly stated.  Frequently i get lost as to what is being felt about.  For example my comment here really should have no emotional content  ... so i guess it would be just ... but if i were very proud as to how i expressed it here in relational to why it showed up in my awareness i might go more like .  But how would the reader know
Text has no emotion only people do. That's why we need emoticons, emoteys etc.

yep agreed, text itself does not feel ... people feel.  which is why i intentionally chose to put the word "invoking" in my thought ... "invoking emotions directly in the text".  Iow, we invoke emotions by saying text ... we emote on saying it ... the reader emotes (usually quite differently) on reading it.
maybe evoke vs invoke, eh? sometimes nothing at all is called forth, eh?

to be perfectly frank about this, my confusion comes from my interpretation of you use of emoteys.  i have come to interpret those as your expression of how you felt as you said what you said.  which is probably the best way to do it.  thing is, when you know that what you are saying to me might make me angry "", don't you think that your saying it with a "" just like totally rubs it in?  I just wanted you to be aware that a weird  and confusing emotion gets evoked over here sometimes .... i mean when the content of your message is but the emotion you express is .

yeah "evoke" is probably better.  my salient observation here is the confusion as to whether the emoteey is expressing the author's emotion upon writing the message, or the author's expectation of the emotion that the reader will have when he reads the message.  Myself i really do prefer the latter.  When i anticipate that my message will be surprising to you, i like to say "" ... but when i am responding to something that made me angry, i might express that with a "" ... if my message made me cry, i might go "" ... yet if i can transforem it to someting that i anticipate would make you happy, surly i would go "".  i really am not sure who is feeling the emoteys ... me or you ... hence the confusion .

Yeah, the quick ones like Ruby etc with databases underneath have proliferated & mutated with better HTML5 CS? since I lost interest - with apps the main event.
