Ok, here is some new costing info on the fries ...
I'm thinking of opening my own food channel and vlogging stuff like this on youtube.
- $6.00 at Costco for
144 oz.
- The serving size in 3 oz,
- so that equates to $.13/ serving.
- Manufacturer: Lamb Weston

Wouldn't a bag of potatoes & a knife to cut them up be cheaper & more ecologically sound ?

Yep, of course. But what we are dealing with here, is entrenched behavior ... not mine, Jason's. There is no way that he is going to peel a potato, slice it, and then contrive to deep fry or bake it long enough to make french fried. I think that goes for a lot of other people too. But they will drive for 10 minutes to Jack in the Box and back with a meal that cost them about $8.00 ... which would have taken them maybe half of an hour to earn. So throwing these in an oven for 20 minutes is a step in the right direction.
