Well, ok i did develop tagtalking.net exclusively in quads
Now am adding quads to www.speaktomecatalog.com for the purpose of providing our website with better customer awareness and interaction.

Quads rule!

A new machine/human readable grammar is not really needed for this and would add complexity and development time. Both JSON and XML are excellent machine/human readable grammars are both are already fully integrated into browsers and databases. No need to invent another wheel. You seem to be touting facebook widgets or apps these days. Have you written any yet?

Actually i"m not intending on writing a machine/human readable grammar for this, just a quads based SQL database. The user should be able to specify their metadata by filling out a traditional form. The problem of not being able to specify in advance all of the metadata descriptions that people might want to use to describe their media opuses, means that the extra flexibility of quads approach is strongly indicated. Try designing a database table not knowing the fields in advance or even how many there are, and you will grok the problem better. Then inadvertently i will use the quads store for the user profile as well. That too has the same problem. Then too learning JSON when all i need is PHP and MySql, which i already have installed and know well, is far too much ramp up time with no upside. The only place i need XML is the output Atom feeds and i already have that down.

Hey, so how is media player coming? How come you can't import feeds into it like you can with iTunes?

Good Luck with Virtuoso - a shallow perusal makes me think you need something like Tomcat to make the WSDL, XML, XSLT & XQuery work.
