Zucchini Pineapple & Mushrooms in Ginger Hollandaise Sauce Over Rice

Mushrooms, zucchini, diced ginger was sauteed till tender in water, wine, pinch of salt and pepper. Vegetables were removed and set aside in warming bowl. Broth was cooled then slowly added to melted butter and beaten egg yolks and returned to skillet for rapid stirring until sauce thickened. Pineapple was grilled then piled over Jasmine rice and then layered with the mushrooms zucchini and diced ginger. De-fucking-licious !!

Strange i actually lost weight on this veggie dish even though it was quite a lot of food on the plate,see zoom. Me thinks the dish is actually quite good for my health. When i get a chance, i'm gonna try making it with olive oil instead of margarine. My problem is getting Denise to try it ... she still hasn't totally embraced Ginger as an ingredient.

Looks interesting. I'm a particular fan of Indian Curry dishes; have you ever considered adding curry powder to the recipe? You are not updating your weight chart, any reason?

I guess i'll need to play with curry too. I've been keeping a pretty constant weight ... varying between 185 and 188 ... i've been weighing myself every day but have just been too lazy to update the chart.

I'll try to go back to charting for a while. I want to range between 180 and 185, right now i'm a tad above that range. My love of cooking and my weight are not always in sync as you might expect. Perhaps designing filling veggie dishes is the way. Then too it's not just me, Denise is in this too. When Denise is trying hard to loose, then i can eat what i want, but when she wants to eat i pretty much have to eat with her. She is sensitive to being "controlled", she wants to make her own choices. Frequently we eat different things. A good article on couples eating behaviors might be in order.

Pretty much the same thing here between T & I. She does most of the cooking but needs meat at evening meals. She refuses to do the NBHD. When we negotiate what's for dinner, usually an hour conversation, she mostly gets her way because she does the cooking. The NBHD doesn't take much cooking. She wants her own choices on a now-touchy-feeley moment to moment protocol. T's local family ~8 extras meet on Tue & Wed to watch American Idol & have dinner with a rotating set of providers & houses. This usually upsets the NBHD but I can recover the 2lb gain for those dayswith the Mazel method. It does slow down the over all progress though. Thought of making moose turd pie the other day but got out voted!

Well i do the cooking but Denise still gets her way. Food is such a social thing, which is good, but it does make it hard to deviate from the pack ... it takes a stronger resolve. Today we both decided to eat light, just cantaloupe and grapes, but i did some piecing so we will have to see tomorrow morning.
