Here's a suggestion & the thingy has a payoff for solving the puzzles. Sounds to me like something themed similar to the Fringe TV series. I ran into it at New Scientist here.

it's the way i transfer links easily from desktop to pod. actually i didn't want to spend the time reading that particular "shit" at my desk ... but who knows i may feel differently in bed or in a coffee shop ... then i don't want to haf to fuck around trying to find it again.
so i have a way to transfer links (bookmarks) easily between desk/pod ... unfortunately i have yet to discover the opposite direction pod/desk, but am still working on it. Were i to find the way iTunes sync wold work the way me thinks it should, i wouldn't need to fuck for these transfers.

Keep in mind while reading it, whatever side you are on, that a country following the rule of law can't have various groups of people within writing their own laws. Balkanization will destroy the Union & cause civil wars as it is doing in the Middle East.

Well that proposed law failed. Here is one that has more meat on it. Obviously American law in America overrides a foreign code. But apparently there are gray areas where a judge trying to determine intent, or the facts of some business arrangement with foreign parties, may need to consult a foreign code to be fair in some situation. I don't know enough about how this plays out in the courts, or if there is any real threat to the dominance of American law to warrant another law on the books. Any further discussions should take place off my reading list.

I had a particularly Zen moment this morning while finishing off the artwork that a turd left on the exiting convenience aperature. Some was without words & some wasn't. As I was wiping, I remembered not weighing recently & then I grokked it was because I didn't want to face the possibly bad news - all without words. Then just as I went for the final caressing stroke of the paper the phrase " good news, bad news - who knows?" from the famous zen story went through my inner ear just as I finished - perfect timing. I got up, washed my hands & weighed myself.

well having discharged your magnum opus, i expect it would have been good news ... was it?

There are many trains of thought, trains of feeling & trains of action - no single one is the answer! One has to keep a sense of humor. I haven't noticed you following my trains of thought any fore ardently than I yours. I try to find solutions rather than argue points of view, but sometimes the juice is hard to resist.

Mark, it is so obvious that "persuasion includes feelings and ethos" that nobody in their right mind would ever think otherwise. That fact does not imply that we should be going around and distorting and lieing about political things. Poking fun at an argument in a cartoon or some other context in which you are attempting to get to a viseral level of feeling shoul be allowed ... it is part of the game. But when people are trying to arrive at a workable model of what is going on ... those behaviors just introduce static and confusion into dialogue. To discard that static takes takes time away from the rational pursuit of truth.

i suppose that i do need to read this in detail ... "Why the social organism is the reverse of the human organism" by Steiner ... as it seems to voice the opposite of my stance. I've kept it in a tab for too long ... i need to release it.
I hold that the relationship between an individual and his society (culture, environment, world, whatever) is very important ... and that the individual is important to the society and the society to him ... sacrificing that value for a individual centric philosophy rubbs me the wrong way. I am not sure that is what Steinar is doing here, but that was the impression i got from the first few paragraphs. That is why i need to read it in detail. Also because it may well form the basis of his threefold state.

ibid: ... To deprive human spirituality of its main force, of its true fundamental quality – namely freedom, individual freedom – would be the same as depriving a growing human being of its food. Free individual human beings, who submit to coercion within a social structure and whose spiritual forces grow sterile, bring about the decay and death of the social structure in the same way in which a human being would be doomed to die if you were to deprive him of his food. What human heads produce, this constitutes the nourishment of the social organism.

Seth says
certainly a reasonable comparison to which i heartily subscribe.
The thing is, why assume that society must needs submit the individual to "coercion within a social structure" ... why must a society necessarily impinge on an individual's freedom at all? For my interest in this inquiry i would assume the opposite ... the stronger the society, the freer the individual.

Yep, ... continuing excuses for government - the meat of the liberal agenda - (notwithstanding), Seth would rather blame an abstraction (otherwise why would he bring them up?). There is mesmeralysis which is more interesting than this train of thought:
the only thing that hits me as strange
in relationship to this train of thought is *your* preoccupation with the problems of government ... and in particular your connecting those to RS's threefold world. Does government affect your life all that very much? ... because it really doesn't mine. Is RS's threefold world all about what kind of government we should have? If the government changed, would your life change all that dramatically?
incidentally, your attention here is not required here ... nor are your distractions ... after all this is my reading list ... and i really do not care whether you are interested in my train of thought or not ... but i do request that you don't junk it up with irrelevance.

Yep, I stopped on RS & you went on your own track. RS had a threefold approach economics & rights (govt) separated. Current govt has the opposite. My life is not affected by Google glass either or a lot of #alien_mesmeralysis .

Well, apparently, "mesmeralysis" is your coin. As such it will be worthless unless there happen other instances of usage. But it does sounds like a intriguing word ... thought i am not at all sure there is really any distinction between it and Google's suggestion, "mesmerism". Anding that to "alien" is of course your message. Alien implies your own subjective value judgement ...
I am a photographer ... i snap pictures and blog them publicly and put them in a slid show that my computer shows me when i am not using if for other purposes. I am looking forward to trying Google glassess to see if that will extend my ability of looking at things over time. Apparently you don't do any of that. Perhaps i am an "alien" to you because of that ... alternatively you could relate to me just as an other person.
Will that mesmerize me ... well taking pictures and looking at them and showing them to others doesn't mesmerize me. Do you think it does?
Are you mesmerized by attacking Obama? It actually appears to me that you are.
