HMmmm.... I forgot, what's this holiday for ?  Maybe we should move it up to the Winter Solstice so that we can have something to celebrate.

Unfortunately getting his message here on my pod is so tedious that my motivation is insufficient to the task.

I do remem one Christmas when I was little ... We all exchanged gifts ... I got that Christmas feeling ...never quite ever got back to that feeling. But then that IS about Santa ... Not about baby Jesus ... Was about joy of giving. That is what Xmas is about. Has been that way for as long as my life. I would say get over it but then I hate it when youdo that. So I wont ... Woops I did it.

Counterpoint from ~100 years ago RS unconceals the solutions & not just the problems, touching art & drama as well. ; think back to who you were before you were 7 years old! http://wn.rsarchive.org/Lectures/YulFes_index.html

Exactly! Carbon copied greetings ... BOORING. I dare u to poot that to facebook to anger the zombies ...lol
For me it was more the lack of Christ in Christmas than anything else. I remember in jr high school the Christmas pageants singing Christmas carols as part of the season. I used to have a crush on this one girl who played an angel descending. The obligatory pass for those who didn't want to attend was made & they could go to the library. Nowadays, the ACLU will sue the school if it were done. Fuck'em. Maybe we could get more done by eliminating the Christmas season. Nothing seems to get done past Halloween. (Except for lame ducks.)

Whatever the reason for the disparity, here's the bottom line: For many Americans, church attendance is a central part of their lives. For others, it's a waste of time. If you're in either of these groups, more power to you. But in the spirit of Christmas and the truthteller whose message we celebrate, surely believers and atheists can agree on what to tell folks who talk Jesus but walk Santa: Enough with the two-faced posturing.

I remember one Christmas, I think our friend Mrs. Rose was there, when our father described the Anthroposophical, 2 Jesus point of view & the meaning of it all.  I remember that one the most & how it no longer was all about Santa Clause.  Too bad you missed it.

It seems now that you are complaining that the Internet doesn't conform to your Ipad touch. Before it was the Kindle. Do you think the Internet will ever satisfy your own requirements?  Will the mountain ever come to Mohammed? The Elib does some stuff for Kindle, however.

Yeah i remem that one too ... But with no special Christmassy feeling ... I think the gifting was snuck by the mothers ...not approved by GW

The RS archives has ePub format that sb readable with my PDF reader app ... But IS NOT ... Dont know if its just me ... See my fb comment. Things should work! If not fix them. The net lives on things that work across all our devises ... My demands none the less.

If you are talking about the link I mentioned above it probably isn't in pdf format.  In the download link there are some, try them. Otherwise create a pdf from the one you want & try that.

Maybe try this shortcut: http://www.web2pdfconvert.com/getPDF.aspx?path=eac60f10-21af-4e2c-be9a-27f66129765dwn-rsarchive-org.pdf

Well easily creating pod readable PDF from lengthy HTML is something I have yet to learn ...good idea, though,
This might do it. I used it to make the above.

Not easily readable in this format ... one would need to magnify then horizontally scoll ... too tedious ... would be better to sit up at desk and read it on monitor.

Click "download" on the archives site, and you see a list of files for some lectures in .epub format.  When i click one of those on my pod it suggests to open in PDF reader, which i do, then i get blank pages.  When i do this at my desktop i get a download of what appears to be a very short file, 18k, which i doubt contains much of anything.  Me thinks there is a bug in the way the archives generates these files.

Yep, apparently the ipud touch isn't a desktop. Porn may be a bit lacking in detail as well, eh?

porn works even better ... because its delivered in the bed and not at your desk, where your suppose to be concentrating on work.  Of course some places don't work because Flash don't work on Apples because of the whole Apple vs Adobe bs.

It's all about repositioning behaviors ... doing shit in another environment.  Like for example i was in line waiting for my computer to get out of the shop ... so i continued reading Gibson's Zero History on my pod.  It worked great.  Made better use of my time than being impatient.  Are you starting to see what i mean or not?

Yeah, porn in line while waiting at the grocery store sounds good. As with everything its all about what & when you use your tools for whatever.  Not being present & conscious of what you are doing, but being "somewhere" else trains your mind to follow distractions just like TV.  I have been at family gatherings for thansgiving & xmasses where the younger generation didn't bother to talk to each other but were playing with their apps. Some were probably saying rude things about the others at the "party".  Someone should probably write a book on the Tao of Ipod.

Horseshit!  It wasn't porn, i was reading the book i mentioned.  I had already spent about 5 minutes looking around the room studying that particular now in all of its dimensions that came to mind.  There was almost an hour left to wait ... nothing to be gained by going home.  There was nothing else useful that i could think to do.  So i read a book.  But yes, i find many in the malls and streets of our cities totally distracted by their pods and phones ... but that does not imply that all such usage is a mistake.  I find your attitude here useless ... except of course The Tao of the Pod ... that's a good one.

Your sense of humor went all the way up your ipud. My attitude is one of balance: I call for balance in all things. I am not a techno-junkie. If you can't hold a single thought in your mind for more than 5 seconds you may be out of balance IMFAO.
OTOH, what's kewl is new languages developing & talking & making friends with whom you would probably never meet face-2-face.!
