Audio resources on the web


archive.org is perhaps the best and easiest place to host your sound or mp3 files for free ... apparently there is not a limit imposed.  You will need to sign into their site to get a user name, but that is a easy piece.  Here is a direct link to the audio archive upload page.

Which one is the best one to put ~ 1/2 hour of audio commentary free for access in the cloud? Apparently you can still put stuff on YouTube which is audio.

Well i'm still not sure. Is it already prerecorded and in one of the usual web formats like mp3 or wma?   I think the whole question revolves around which site has the easiest and most accessible upload, what is the allowable length, how bug free it is,  and how easily it can be shared with other social media sites and what it sounds like when played there.  Soundcloud may be quite adequate, i've seem that shared nicely on Facebook, but I am not sure about the allowed file size.   If I were you i would probably try that one first.  You could even upload it to my tagtalking site and ask me to bump up the file size for you, but tagtalking does not have much active developer support and requires you to go through a rather flakey startup.  Another you could try is the new spreaker.com ... they have a very easy startup and they allow you to go on for 1/2 hour, but i am not sure about the reliability of their server or the sound quality yet.
