lots of pictures & commentary

Here is the question that Obamaphiles have no answer for:

Why did Obama not take pains to get Osama alive given that no weapons were discovered in his room & prove that all of his pre-election prancing around about terrorism being just a legal matter & G'tmo s/b disbanded & water-boarding was torture?  Wonder a bit now about the Nobel Peace prize .  I speculate that Obama, failing elsewhere in the polls, decided to pick some low-hanging fruit & boost his absent foreign affairs creds.

Well the answer to "Why did Obama not take pains to get Osama alive?" is fairly obvious.  Giving terrorists, especially the ultimate terrorists, a platform to spread BS and propaganda is just not in our best interest ... remember Sadam's trial.  That is just not something that anyone, on our side, in their right mind would want to contrive to happen.   I see this as just the final bullet fired in the war, and as an American am glad it found the soft target of our nation's enemy.  It was not a judicial matter.  Read carefully what the attorney general said.

Now crowing about it, celebrating it, and pictorilizing it is carrying the fight beyond it's faithful ending ... it is just perpetuating the struggle.   Would i have been Obama, i would not have made such a dramatic news making speech.  I would have let the pentagon debrief the public as they normally do with military operations.
Yep, that's the NOW party line/talking points.  You still did not answer the whole question.  He campaigned differently. Face up to the fact that Obama's statements have an expiration date.

I don't remember Obama saying in the campaign that he would not take out Bin Laden ... in fact, i remember it exactly the opposite ... something to the effect that if he had actionable intelligence, that he would persue it, even into Pakistan.

A great piece on the fog of war narrative about the raid & killing of Osama bin Laden
source (below): ...

“In a crisis or an unfolding news situation, first reports are almost always wrong,” she explained in an interview with Fox News, where she is a contributor. “And you can understand when you get the tide of the media calls coming in and you want to provide information as quickly as possible. You want to be responsive and you want to frame the argument first. Sometimes though, if then you end up having to redefine that narrative, or correct things that you originally said, you end up sullying your original message. And I think that's what's happened to them.

“I am perplexed how they got so much wrong,” she added. “I don't think it takes away from their achievement. I think that criticism will be relatively short-lived. However, for those people who might be critics of the administration, or have a little bit of distrust for the stories that are coming out of the White House, this will feed that. And it doesn't help build credibility.”

... With the SEAL team back home & debriefed, one wonders why an unclassified authoritative narrative can't be produced, IMHO.

But the Obama regime wanted to try Kalid Sheikh Mohammed in New York in a public trial - go figure. Luckily NY & the Congress said otherwise. See: http://bit.ly/lYt57u- This is just duplicity.

Here's an app for you ... given a search argument like "Southern Pverty Law Center" do a google image search ... yielding something like this ... then take those image and create a slide show showing each image for only 1/8th of a second second ... then substitute the slide show for the term piping the meaning of the term right into the brain pan.

Mo' Stuff on the killing & the difference between a "Tom Hanks version" and reality, eh?
source: ...

Today, Time magazine got hold of a memo written by then-CIA head Leon Panetta after he received orders from Barack Obama’s team to greenlight the bin Laden mission. Here’s the text, which summarized the situation:

Received phone call from Tom Donilon who stated that the President made a decision with regard to AC1 [Abbottabad Compound 1]. The decision is to proceed with the assault.

The timing, operational decision making and control are in Admiral McRaven’s hands. The approval is provided on the risk profile presented to the President. Any additional risks are to be brought back to the President for his consideration. The direction is to go in and get bin Laden and if he is not there, to get out. Those instructions were conveyed to Admiral McRaven at approximately 10:45 am.

                       .....

The memo puts all control in the hands of Admiral McRaven – the “timing, operational decision making and control” are all up to McRaven. So the notion that Obama and his team were walking through every stage of the operation is incorrect. The hero here was McRaven, not Obama. And had the mission gone wrong, McRaven surely would have been thrown under the bus.
