The part I hate about multiculturalism is that it shows up in political correctness that fosters such shit as:
  • Can't fly American flags in certain places in the US because it would offend some illegal aliens or other non-natural citizens
  • Can't wear a necklace with a cross on it in schools because that would offend non Christians.
  • Can't have Christian prayers in some cemetaries even for those who defended this country
  • It is promoting waves of anti-Americanism
  • It promotes a segmented society - how well is the European Union working out?
  • What we have developing now is Diaspora & Identity Politics.

I like to explore other cultures. I have lived in Japan, China, Phillippines, Guam, & visited Tahiti, Virgin Islands & Mexico & enjoyed the diversity of experience. I have also worked with many people from India & the Middle East in the software business.
I still prefer the American Identity & above that being human.

The problem with Diaspora is it is a move in the direction of tribalism - a step backwards - rather than in the direction of a more universal humanism. Not more freedom, but less! Blood relationships are a thing of the past. Relationships brought about by living a brotherhood congruent with the Golden Rule are the things which will lead humanity to a Golden Age of prosperity.
