question~answer

"question~answer" is an intentional tag because it has the "~" copular.  It is read "question seeking answer".   I would like people to take the tag room question~answer seriously and attempt to answer whatever questions appear there.

We expect that, should the question find its answer, the intentional tag will be removed so that out question answer que remains uncluttered.  Usually the authors of the question would remove the intentional tag in response to having their question answered.   The item should then be correctly tagged so that it may be found again.   Alternatively, if the author of the item deems that it does not have any lasting value,  it can be deleted.   If the item is deemed a good question answer, it could be added to an appropriate faq by affixing the tag "faq".

If the question has been answered, and is deemed useful, then just tag it "faq" and it suddenly becomes an entry in the faq.

I think it is more practical to have the "official fastblogit faq" be the tagroom [tag fastblogit, faq] rather than the [group faq].    That we have not done this might be part of the reason that the faq has not grown the way it should.

Note:
  • If this is the way we intend to do it, then we will change the hard coding under appropriately.
  • The act of affixing the tag "fastblogit" to a item that is otherwise tagged "faq" is what makes it official.
  • We could have another tag that might imply the need to edit the item.  I suggest "item~editing" which reads "item seeking editing".   This would be a very useful intentional tag,  it creates a work que.

editing meaning to become a faq ? & not item~faq ?

The tag "question~answer" tags an item as wanting an answer.  Once it is answered, then tagging it "faq" classifies it as a frequently asked question that has been answered.  Tagging it as "fastblogit" puts it in the fastblogit faq.  Tagging it as "item~editing" just means that the wording on the question or the answer needs to  be improved.
