Well i don't think anybody is saying Herman Cain is "not black enough" ... but there is a new term for it  ... "buffoon".

It's unfortunate that all the republican party seem to be able to field are  buffoons, bobble heads  and Mr Bland.

... here blond girls already are working up the narrative ... while denise was going pa-choo pa-choo pa-choo on the bed ... i asked her what she was doing ... she said "putting the nails in Cain's coffin".

Kinda matches the buffoon/joker in the so-called White House, eh BOZO? Strangely enough I thought you liked Cain .... must not be enough of the racist liberal establishment for you!  You started the ad hominem shit @S'th

The America of my time line is a laboratory example of what can happen to democracies, what has eventually happened to all perfect democracies throughout all histories. A perfect democracy, a "warm body" democracy in which every adult may vote and all votes count equally, has no internal feedback for self-correction.... [O]nce a state extends the franchise to every warm body, be he producer or parasite, that day marks the beginning of the end of the state. For when the plebs discover that they can vote themselves bread and circuses without limit and that the productive members of the body politic cannot stop them, they will do so, until the state bleeds to death, or in its weakened condition the state succumbs to an invader " the barbarians enter Rome. (Heinlein)

, excuse me I shouldn't have said racist liberal establishment  ... I should have said race-baiting poverty pimps instead.

Bear in mind that my attitudes towards politicians are not usually binary ... (like) or (not like) ... so when you say you "thought  [I] liked Cain", you are not really saying anything.

After some study of his 9-9-9 plan i concluded its main effect on the population would be to shift the burden of paying taxes away away from the most wealthy ...  you know, income redistribution.  Not really my thing ... income taxes should be graduated to compensate for the fact that it is easier to make money the more money you have.  That is why i came up with my slogan. On the other hand i did hear a vibration of strength and excitement for the entrepreneurial spirit ... that part i liked.  On the other hand the man seems to be lacking the  integrity and class which our current president exudes in all of his actions.  As i believe the position of POTUS is primarily symbolic and ceremonial devoid of the direct power to change, i don't think Cain's buffonary will be of much help there.
Other than a gratuitous  ad hominem insult, what evidence - specifically - do you have that he is a buffoon? ... or a worse buffoon than Obama?  Peoples money & wealth is their own not yours & not belonging to the government; continuous attempts by the government & people with idiotic notions of redistribution notwithstanding. To take money from others is STEALING! (even if you get together with a bunch of people to do it.)

Well rather than engage in a debate as if presenting evidence of buffoonery would be a determinable issue, i would prefer you just look at the word usage itself and who is using it  ... for that is my interest here.  I asked Denise and she seemed to think she coined it ... however the 39,700 and counting instances at Google seem to fly in the face of her coin.  There is a variation of the n word used in the black community that characterizes a certain crass usage of black lingo ... but people don't want to use n words anymore ... so what we have here is a race neutral word ... anybody can be a bafoon ... and yes, Cain is being a bafoon.  You can gather your own examples, here is one that came up this morning : "I am the Koch brothers brother from another mother" , not to mention his entire handling of the sexual harrassment scandal.

Mark de LA says
You're still using ad hominem slurs - congruent with your self-chosen identity of BOZO! The sex scandal is is standard liberal hit job similar to Anita Hill's lynching of Clarence Thomas, except in this case the perpetrator won't even come out & show her face & answer for her accusations: gutless she is!

Meanwhile Cain terminates further discussion about the "hi tech lynching" by telling an aide "send him the Journalist Code of Ethics" .....  who knew there were any? I suspect that they are like the Hippocratic Oath which originally had anti-abortion language in it. Journalistic ethics get rewritten depending upon who you work for.

Let me put it this way:  I am not saying "Cain is a buffon" ... I am just giving you a  FYI that there is a new word  "buffon",  being used in the community.

Yeah i watched Cain trying to get the press off of their pursuit of a story too.  Cain's not accepting that is part of his buffonery.  That he seems not to be aware of the facts of political life leads me to believe he doesn't have mind grounded in reality ... not good for a president.
Yeah! we need a president who has never really had a job outside of politics, eh? A president who can't make a budget or cut expenses. A president that talks & doesn't do anything ... currently running off to Bali while Congress figures out how to cut the deficit.
Phooey!

which seems like a bunny with a pancake on it's head when what we are talking about is Cain and how he does not deal with the realities of the press and scandal.  Obama does not blame the press for its natural focus, nor does he bother to rag on the people continually ragging on him just for the sport of it.

Mark de LA says
Well, this is still appropriate: (you never did, in your Bozo way, get beyond ad hominem) ... Cain did offer to the press the Journalist Code of Ethics but they & you ignored them in favor of 100s of articles on Cain & your repeat of the same BS.)
You're still using ad hominem slurs - congruent with your self-chosen identity of BOZO! Someone is modeling Anita Hill here with Gloria ALLRED as her attorney. I am not surprised! The Politico does its best to ruin conservatives & is blind to the bullshit in the White House. Count the numbers of stories on each.  How much of Eric Holder's Fast & Furious have they reported? How much on Solyndra?  How much on the other bankrupt solar company?  I am willing to wait it out & see what facts of reality show up.  You have them all convicted --- shame on you.

Seth says
Well my interest here has not been to accuse or to contribute any innuendo which is already there in the media; but rather to chronicle the scandal, Cain's response  to it, as other people's reaction to that as well as my own and yours ... all this for historical interest.  I have no dog in this race ... only historical interest.  Your item here seems as good as any for that purpose.

Today we add another very specific charge by a very specific person followed by a denial from Cain himself.

______________________________________________________________

Incidentally perhaps we don't really need the other dimension of meta judgement where you and i use the scandal as an excuse to rubb egos.  Certainly that rubb contributes nothing to either of our understandings ... and for me, at least, actually gets in the way of learning.  For example, and this is the importance of this paragraph, if you say "that is great" and i say "that sucks", those at least are honest first level reactions to historical events ... but then if your say "your stupid for saying it sucks",  we have just haired up one meta level and are no longer talking about what was great or what sucked, but rather talking about each other ... we have become the topic.  Me i say that sucks, and i always hate it when it happens.

Thing is, if you listen very carefully to Sharon Bialek's accusation, and try to act it out in your mind, you end up with a very implausible scene.  I mean who pushes a girls head towards their crotch before first unzipping, and how do you do that with your hand up their skirt ... and that in a car sitting in the drivers seat ... (hmmm what kind of car?).  I'd really like to see that scene filmed to see how it would flow.  It doesn't sound realistic.  So if it happened, i don't believe it happened exactly that way ... it must have been more protracted.  In which case the whole moral hazard would have come out differently.
I would love to see a reality show with dueling lie detectors on both to see what can be discovered; maybe even have some "lie to me" experts for running commentary. Maybe the real threat of same or a challenge to do that would be enough.

Mark de LA says
Notice none of this latter tack has anything to do with the M$M racism.  A question in my mind is simply is Obama really the first black president?  Isn't he mulatto? I am trying not to be racist here, but nobody has bothered to raise the distinctions vis-a-vis 714 & the "race-card" gets raised every time there is a chance of advantage to the user. Cain could very well be the first!

Well the phrase "the M$M racism" doesn't mean much to me, what does it mean to you?

Didn't you and Rush Limbaugh point out that Obama was only half black way back before he was elected?  ... so i guess that distinction has been duly raised.  To me it is meaningless ... if Obama had walked into a bar in the Jim Crow South in the 20s he would not have been served ... visually he presents as a black man ... no problem making that visual distinction at all.  Apparently there are some status considerations to shades of black to certain communities; but i doubt that the electorate at large is all that tuned into those considerations.

If this is all just about answering an all important question as to who is the first black president, you could just refine the question to be:  "Who is the first president of the United States who had a black parent?"   Would that rephrasing solve the question in your mind?
GO REVISIT THE CARTOON - IT SAYS IT ALL (of course you may need a sense of humor)! All of this current reply needs a bunny & is OT.

Ok, ok, since you insist ... let us look at the cartoon and its supposed humor ...

(white + white) Bill Clingon =  Black Enough :  Yep that was true in the M$M ... i remember Clinton was actually hailed as the first black president.

(black + white) Obama = Black Enough:  Problem is the M$M has many times maligned Obama for not being black enough.  If anything the black community complains that he has done nothing for them.  So no, i don't get this one, it's just made up for the cartoon and represents no context in the media.

(black + black) Herman Cain = Not Black Enough:  Thing is i have not heard that at all in the M$M ... but it may be that i just don't hang out where they are saying such things.  What i have heard is that he is a conservative republican, which some  black people might resent, perhaps feeling that he is a traitor ... i suppose that could be twisted to "not black enough".  Coulter said something about he is their worst nightmare and that black people fear him for being a strong black conservative ... but she is a comedian, not  M$M.  I guess you could twist that to  "conservative = not-black", but that would be only in a Coulteresque mind which does not expect black people to think for themselves ... but that is not a funny thought ... just a racist one.   For me, without the  context of "cain's not black enough" actually existing in the M$M, the chart just seems contrived ... is not real political commentary ... and becomes just an excuse to snigger about race.

But a rewrite could introduce a little snicker ...

(white + white) Clinton = black enough
(black + white) Obama = not black enough
(black + black) Cain = not black at all

So for me, no, i didn't laugh.   Did you?  Why?
Bozo wastes time analyzing jokes & cartoons -.... now where is that bunny? (see above). Or see below:

Like I said I am going to wait until the current M$M & you grow tired of the newsfront smearing of Cain. Then I will examine the stuff & see what is possibly true. I want my lie detector reality show or forget it.

here is another report ...

source: chicago sun times

The Cain Encounter ...

They hugged each other backstage in a full embrace like old friends.

She grabbed his arm and whispered in his left ear.

She kept talking as he bent to listen, and he kept saying “Uh, huh. Uh, huh.”

Huh?

“I don’t know if what she was giving him was a sucker punch, but he didn’t put his arm down while she was talking to him,” said the Sneed source.

... this is quite an experiment in what you believe?

Yet, even in the face of these reports, yesterday Herman Cain said ...

source: Herman Cains own words transcribed by Mail online news (includes video )

"I saw Ms Allred and her client yesterday in that news conference for the very first time as I sat in my hotel room with a couple of staff members. When they got to the microphone, my first reaction was, I don't even know who this woman is."

... yet as i reported above he was observed talking to her at a T Party rally last month

Truthful communication with the electorate is one of the qualities that i deem necessary in anyone who i would vote for,  unfortunately we have already caught Cain in a lie.  Well, it may not have been an actual lie, perchance he and his staff are so inept that they do not even know what is being reported and his memory is a blur ... but that would not help him ... it doesn't help to excuse telling lies with incompetence and poor memory.

Mark de LA says
.. & then race is a matter of perspective:

Seth says
Re the Ginger White affair we hear Herman Cain's lawyer responding thusly ...
source: politico

"... No individual, whether a private citizen, a candidate for public office or a public official, should be questioned about his or her private sexual life ...."

... which sounds to me like a bold pioneering of a new political ethic. I'll spare you the comparisons with past history.  Now i don't really know whether these women are conspiing to smear Herman Cain or not ... really i don't know.  And to be honest with you, an affair is not something that i personally care about, i might have voted for him regardless.  But i am looking for honsety in political dialogue and for me a blustering "I don't have to talk about that" is not what i call honesty.  The same goes for Newt Gingrich ... come on,  his "I do no lobbying of any kind. I never have" is absolutely unbelievable ... at the very least it requires a full disclosure of what he did do.

Come on now GOP, if you want me to vote republican, please field a honest one.

Mark de LA says
... & Obama was born in the US & only produced an online birth certificate after a couple years & all the people who could testify about it were dead & he sat in a pew for 20 years & never heard Rev Wright say nasty things about the USA. .... let the smears begin after each Republican candidate bubbles to the top. Believe all you see or hear about on the Internet (or NOT)!

I've decided to make my voting decisions from an independent point of view.  As it stands now i would vote for Obama unless there is a politician that i respect more running on the other side.  I like his character, i understand what he says, and he almost always says and does what i would do in the situation, especially in foreign policy.  On the other side i think that we should minimize what government does in our lives, giving more and more freedom over to the private sector.  That said there are problems that need to be solved and powers that need to be balanced.  I don't think that market forces are going to just solve all of those problems.  It is a very complex and no-binary world.  We need a person who demonstrates with their thinking that they can navigate that world. That and i'm sick to death of the twisting of ideological propaganda.  Let a politician lie to me and he's toast.  Let a politician twist the legitimate concerns of the other side into lies and he's toast.  Then too, because they all are going to play politics ... and that is what it has become ... the one who does it the least, would me my choice.
