You can probably do all the things that Ning does, instantly, without having to become a member of anything!  Create a group & start NOW! (requires only that you name a group and give it a password) - do it here

Now this is a test of arial bold comments.

Mark de LA says
For some strange reason I cannot copy & paste into a new comment the above comment in 1460 & make it bold.

Mark de LA says
When I tried again to copy it from the above into 1460 I lost the color too!

Seth says
it would be nice if you would edit this item so that the problem you are mumbeling about would pop right out. For one thing: what specifically do you mean by "copy" ?

Incidentally there are many problems with the rte. In fact we should have a matrix with the dimensions something like: style, browser, edit/new, room dispaly/in-the rte box.

This is a very hairy and complex area of the program and the next time i go into it i will want to be somewhat systematic.

whatever ... u seem to have missed my point

Mark de LA says
Well my point was that if you take the challenge you will know exactly what is wrong!  I could spend the time trying to use a long bunch of text explaining what is wrong with the RTE , probably something wrong with the item (I don't know), but doing is here roughly equivalent to understanding. Then too we have gone back & forth several times & I apparently haven't made myself clear enough to pin down the problem in language. Further attempts may not be any more successful. I was assuming that we didn't need to be officious in this agile environment, since this is mostly an unpaid position.

Seth says
  ... ... so i guess i get what i pay for

Mark de LA says
Well yes! Did you even bother to take che challenge I mentioned above. The discovery of the bug was a side issue to what I was trying to accomplish. I thought I had spent enough time describing it to give the clues. I even told you where to find the place where it happens. Copy in this context means highlight the comment and press ctrl-c and then get the comment RTE and paste it. If you like I can ignore things I encounter and see if they disappear later & focus more on what my intent is.

Mark de LA says
Incidently, if we had a comment re-edit I probably would have never run into this one & would have saved a couple of hours discussing it. I make that a $wish, if it isn't already there, when I get that round tuit.

My intent for the rest of the day is to either work on the group UnhackTheBrain project or Marketing To Do List for release stuff or perhaps walk the dogs & cook Tina a dinner.

Seth says
Well like i said above, this whole rte box is a can of worms and needs of a systematic approach. I guesss you didnt know i had already determined that, and that would thereby have very little interest and motivation to examine just one singel wiggly worm. I do, however, see a real need for a matrix of just the rte problems in prefix to a systematic approach. I kind of scoped it above. I can elaborate if necessary. I think this is a case where a singel item showing some kind of set of tables delinating the matrix would be helpful. Perahps we could start that. One dimension of the table is obviously each possible style choice. Then that is crossed with: IE, FF, whatever ... and edit or add ... and how the resuslts show in rooms as opposed to the wysiwyg rte box.
