Two Things ...

<--(*)
Two things strike me as peculiar - one from history that is repeating itself & one from the present where Obama blames the previous administration of GW Bush.
  • Just about every regime experiencing a recession or depression of bad times economically seems to blame the rich for causing it.  It was so with the Third Reich, The Bolsheviks, Mao & Stalin.  Such was so bad in the Third Reich that they blamed a whole race of people, the Jews, for the problem & tried to exterminate them.  There may still be a residue of that amongst the Palestinians & their supporters.  Will we ever learn? Envy is a strong motivator & an insanity producer. Such is now happening with the liberals, the 99% & the Occupy X crowd. The money supply in the USA is mostly run by the Federal Reserve & the policies of the Congress. The rich have learned how to keep the government from taking more while still staying within the law.  Until the economy is separated from government fraternity is not likely to return permanently to our social life.
Obama is blaming the previous regime for the recession. While many factors such as 9-11 played into the problem the biggest I remembered & got screwed by was the real estate bubble.
  •  Obama participated in the cause of the real estate bubble by engaging in lawsuits against Citibank for cheaper loans to people who could not pay back the money.  Here is part of an expose that has been fairly well ignored: http://thedc.com/PT5kmc ... Obama wasn't the only one.  Barney Frank & Fanny & Freddy were central in the crash.  But, most of the shennagans were a result of having to survive in the face of lawsuits claiming redlining. Follow the links in the article it is quite a pit of snakes. I don't think Obama can ignore his own participation & blame others at the same time without hypocrisy! To be more clear if you force a non businesslike decision upon banks & institutions which you have a heavy hand controlling they get creative & invented mortgage insurance & bundling ... the rest was government corruption. It wasn't just evil banks it was also evil government.

Here is an essay & the context for finding equal protection in the U.S. Constitution.
U.S. Constitution: ...

No State shall...deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

Amendment XIV, Section 1
...
source: ... Considered textually, the Privileges or Immunities Clause, the Equal Protection Clause, and the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment can be read to form a coherent triad. A state's legislature could not deny to any citizen within its jurisdiction any privilege or immunity (however defined). Once a law was validly passed, the state or its agents could not arbitrarily enforce it against any person within the state's jurisdiction without violating the Equal Protection Clause. Finally, every person accused of violating a law would enjoy the full panoply of procedural rights before the courts of the state. However, early Court involvement, such as in the Slaughter-House Cases (1873), as well as the ambiguity of much of the congressional debates, has

led to debate and disagreement as to the original understanding of the three clauses.

... Nowadays it seems like equal outcome financial & otherwise is how this is being interpreted. It is funny how Obama decides which laws like the immigration ones he decides to enforce & which ones & parts of laws he won't for his own political gain.  It's UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

... The only place i hear this is from conservatives trying to shove it into the mouths of liberals.

What i want is to eliminate the tax rules that only advantage the super rich ... things like "carried interest income".

You must have your ear connected to your own asshole! DUDE! Take some courses in history. Read the constitutional arguments instead of reacting to what you do NOT like in the conclusion I made. Equal protection doesn't mean everybody has the same kind of house, the same kind of wife, the same kind of children thinking the same kind of thoughts because of the same kind of schools, brought to you by the same kind of politicians that the same kind of money bought while the same kind of M$M tells you the same kind of LIES! .... ETC.

Sorry, that was a rational conclusion since it is all over the network.
Well yeah some networks probably did carry it ... probably also without quoting the text of the actual rule or legislation.  Apparently you have drawn a "rational conclusion" based upon a rumor.
read the article I linked to on the 14th amendment (one of the most litigated) of them all. If you are interested read all the law & then come back with your irrational ear-to-ass conclusion.

this is one of those cases where you should not have quoted my comment.

What does anything about the 14th amendment have to do with validating your claim that "forcing banks give loans to people who can't pay them back" ?   In case you didn't notice, i have already acknowledged that the 14th amendment does not prescribe or condone such legislation.
Well if you bothered to read what I have linkied to or you read my first comment the lawsuits were based upon the "equal protection" notion - so you are wrong!

My point is that no liberal (in their right mind) is out there talking about "equal outcome" ... nobody ... no serious politician would be that stupid.
... It's their stupid behavior that counts. Like forcing banks give loans to people who can't pay them back so everybody gets a house.

If that was what actually what happened, then i would agree with you.  The other side of that argument says that banks were denying loans to people not based on their ability to pay them back, but rather based on other markers which had nothing to do with their ability to pay back the loan. You might want to find the actual text of the rules or legislation to prove your point.
Or you could read the link I provided on the Obama lawsuits:
source: ...

There were 186 client-enrollees in Obama’s class-action lawsuit. Of those, at least 88 got foreclosure notices or went bankrupt.

As few as 19 of the 98 remaining clients own homes today.

... apparently few if any could pay them back.

like you comment had anything whatsoever to do with what i said ... outside of just being ad homimen RWG

incidentally i'm declaring that a comment should not be quoted and deleted when the commentary on it does not address the specific concern voiced.   A more useful behavior would be to add your own comment and ignore the other one.  Compliance is, of course, voluntary.
You might reflect on the FACT that this is my item & I don't have to follow your perverted line of reasoning or not if it is not perverted. There is nothing ad hominum in this comment. .... except perhaps &

I bolded the ad-hominem for you.

Incidentally it is absolutely true that you don't have to follow my "line of reasoning" .... but where you quote it, then the forum of your reaction is saying that you are.  To me that is a lie.  I'm just trying to improve the forum here and the ability of reading this so called dialogue.  Form should, where possible, follow content.  If the content is ignoring something, the it should be expressed as such.
Sorry, that was a rational conclusion since it is all over the network. You do whip out the LIE word as often & out of context as possible.  Strange you have such a broad context of truth & a broad context of lies that it dilutes those words when you use them.
