Orignially spotted by Mother Jones

source: Mitt Romney
There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, here are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it.”

And they will vote for this president no matter what.... These are people who pay no income tax,” Romney said. "My job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

I thought it would be interesting to disect Romney's message to determine which sentences were true and which were false or misleading.  I black bolded the true sentences, and red bolded the ones which were false and misleading.  The sentences which might be somewhat true i left in normal type.

The one i put in blue bold is interesting.  I believe it.  In America everybody should be entitled to health care, to food and to housing.  Note i don't necessarily believe that the government should provide it ... but it should be somehow guaranteed to every American citizen.  That may not be who we are, but that is where we are and that is what we should be.

Yep, he's talking about the bread & circuses crowd.

The America of my time line is a laboratory example of what can happen to democracies, what has eventually happened to all perfect democracies throughout all histories. A perfect democracy, a "warm body" democracy in which every adult may vote and all votes count equally, has no internal feedback for self-correction.... [O]nce a state extends the franchise to every warm body, be he producer or parasite, that day marks the beginning of the end of the state. For when the plebs discover that they can vote themselves bread and circuses without limit and that the productive members of the body politic cannot stop them, they will do so, until the state bleeds to death, or in its weakened condition the state succumbs to an invader " the barbarians enter Rome. (Heinlein)
I think that the tipping point is real close to disaster, for after it tips there may be nobody around who will work left in this country. Look at Greece.

I would love to see some closed-door videos of Obama.
Yeah, anything from the daily KOS comes straight from God (George Soros)!

... So they do these races and they see which ads work, and which processes work best, and we have ideas about what we do over the course of the campaign. I'd tell them to you, but I'd have to shoot you.
... which i post here for comic relief .

Yeah!  Where's my "FUCK the 47%" bumper sticker?

They put it on sale at your nearest Romney campaign office .

Obviously the Obama side thinks this meme has legs ... i've already gotten an email from barackobama.com

well i'd like to hear the entire tape ... but as sound bytes go, this one is fairly complete.

I guess this evens out Obama's "cling to their guns and religion" blurt ... also at a secret fund raiser.

Meanwhile at an Obama stump speech an attendee or presidential assistant takes a piss:

Picture of the week from :
... President Barack Obama attended a fundraiser at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club in Manhattan that featured a champagne tower of 350 bottles worth $105,000 - more than twice the median household income of an American family.

The tower of $300-a-bottle Armand de Brignac Brut Gold, known as 'Ace of Spades' because of its label, is a permanent fixture at the club.

'It’s floor-to-ceiling gold bottles in the entire space,' a 40/40 representative told the New York Post. 'It’s beautiful—breathtaking. It’s the first thing you see when you walk in.'

Household Incomes Down 8.2%...

One of the funny things about this 47% business is that the Obama campaign seems to think that the US is just Ohio, Florida, Iowa, Pennsylvania, & handful of other states ~ 11 of them - rarely going to any of the others.
Anyway, it doesn't matter - my vote is in the post office already.
