IMHO, the basic principle motivating the Democrat Party is simply winning - nothing else. A byproduct of that principle is pandering to a network of identity groups most of whom are racial in character: blacks, hispanic, muslims & the like. Bigger government panders to the Bread & Circuses crowd mostly identity groups based on class warfare distinctions (not covered in the base item) . Representative government has failed me for the last 3 years 8 months & 3 days.
