Cognitive Dissonance

About: the context of usage of this term

Everything happens for a reason ... and God loves me ...

... well, Doha ... everything would have *had* to happen exactly the way it did to have arrived at the particular now in wich i find yourself ... hence this now *is* the "reason" everything in this context happened.

... this now is for me ... it is all for me ... and i am totally responsible for it.   OMG it is so very special . ... and all of my nows are just so very special and just so very rare and unique ... these beautiful thingies is all i have.

thing is there are ga-ba-zillion of these nows all for a ga-ba-million different people.

so how can any of them be so very important and special ??

----

i think "cognative dissonance" is all about how to actually feel your life is important despite knowing that it is ultimately unimportant.

Yep - you have some bunch of cognitive(?) dissonance .
A God doesn't use reason - being is not reason, being just IS.
There are many ways to hate the ego - especially those of others. One can try to downgrade others or one can pump up one's own (usually w/ an rwg mutation). ... & then there are alternatives still after that.
I hold that higher beings who created the Universe that we are for the sake of freedom gave a spark of themselves (the cosmic ego - Christ) to the beings they created thus incorpoating independence & even more into their creation.

anyway, i think the dissonance exists, whether or not you want to acknowledge and engage it.  i actually think i have quite a satisfying resolution of it ... and that is why i started this train.

i think that the actual vast plethora of unique quidity which can be felt as granting almost complete unimportance to any one particular now is pretty much that which grants us our ultimate freedom and instead ultimate importance.  a beautiful paradox, which i cannot claim to rationally understand, yet can still feel it in my bones .  i rather think that is quite similar to the way you experssed it above, sans some of the lore.

but i think we can go even deeper here ... worth a try, eh?

incidentally here, as in other places, i write out a thought not necessarily to imply that i am trapped within it ... but merely to, as clearly as possible, state the salient edges of the thought itself.  in this case these thoughts have been around for a long time and did not originate with me.  but anyone who has not contemplated these kinds of thoughts, me thinks, must be philosophically numb and thinking just from habitual faith.  so i would caution against judgement of my being for comprehending the thought ... and if you are interested engage with the thought itself ... for it is quite independent of me.

... & I contributed my thoughts on the subject. Unwelcome ? maybe make this a private item.

I refer to Liber Legis & the pit of because & the why stuff :
II, 30 If Will stops and cries Why, invoking Because, then Will stops & does nought.
II,31
If Power asks why, then is Power weakness.
...

& distinctions of being & Being - individual & cosmic

... yes that is true ... for just about whatever value you want to assign to the word.

Yet i don't get how it is connected to the usage of the word "reason" in the thoughts recorded above.  There the "reason" talked about was the "reason things happen" ... it is the oft repeated belief that "all things happen for a reason".   Well, yes obviously they did happen for a reason ... if they did not happen in exactly the way they did, well then your particular now would be so very different.  Consequently your now *is* the reason things happened the way they did.   I just don't get how that is related to whether God, whatever that is, uses reason.  If it is important, could you connect those for me ??

Another kind of
Cognitive
Dissonance.

hmmm ... i suppose that if someone thinks passonately that it *should* be one way, but instead it changes to be some *other* way, ... that just might hit them as dissonant.  that's about Phil's rant about homosexuals ... probably Farrakhan's too.

your meme, of course, is not about homosexuals but rather about what you think a liberal does as opposed to how you think people *should* be.

yep, so are you feeling the dissonance?

I think that cognitive dissonance in the public square is just an opportunity inviting the spin-masters to start rotating the narrative, don't you?

anyway ... i think this current schedule from A&E pretty much says it all ...

Nope! I am just fairly happy right now. Both the people above are in the grips of their own religions as is the M$M in publishing the shit & someone ginning up the firing of only one of them. The political correctness police are now in the grips of the narrative on homosexuals at this moment, but that is just a smokescreen to obscure the failures in Washington d.c.

.. I wonder when D.C. will agitate to remove the "Columbus" out of their name like renaming the Redskins debacle.  Columbus day & his discovery is demeaned in public schools nowadays.

... yeah whatever .

i really don't need splashy graphics repeated more than once.
Post on Bozo's tomb stone: ... yeah whatever .
