Consciousness, on the other hand, is what’s
there, and at the same time doesn’t exist in
what’s there. It is the foundation, space, and
possibility for both awareness and cognition to
occur. It is the “mother” of mind, intellect,
intuition, perception, knowing. Consciousness
both doesn’t exist, and is existence. So do you
see where I’m going with this, and the direction
or distinction I’m making? Really grasping it
can only be done directly, to be “one” with
Consciousness, so to speak. And that’s not
common.

i think you are talking here about me saying how i think about something you bring up differently ... eh? Well sure i'll cop to that. Me, i call it communication. Rubbing differences together and teasing out the confusions is pretty much, after all, how we could get a meeting of minds ... a common consciousness as it were ... no?

NLP would say you primary metaprogram is mismatching with some sameness.

hmmm .... i wonder ... can you see the similarity in PR's thought above and some of mine about personal experience?

he does, however, assert some assumptions about foundations that i simply do not need to make ... those assumptions are, for me, not necessary and quite above my pay grade ... and, whether they are true or not makes no difference in my life ... so i just don't need to think them ... lol.

Perhaps you are just not interested in consciousness per se.
Notice that no matter what I post here you have an almost immediate urge to make yourself different from it. Still looking for yourself somewhere? ... or defining it as different from the outside. Strange, though, I don't draw any similarity between what you have said above & what I posted from PR. Can/do you have such in more clarity expressible with common English?

notice that PR's thought puts consciousness ... i call it awareness of experience ... as the primary thing ... he even puts it as foundational. i really do not experience (or are conscious of) an objective world or a physical world ... yet most of modern thought puts that world as foundational. i do not. that is how my thoughts and PR's are similar. perhaps you didn't hear that in my thoughts because you were listening for something else, eh?

There is a lot more from the Tai Shu links. GW says that every ultimate particle has consciousness. I have done the contemplation (BofNK) briefly & stopped when I noticed that consciousness adds a brilliance to what is perceived & an interest. I like PR's statement as well. Consciousness is a fundamentally interesting part of my ontology but I refulse to just make it up out of language - I'm going for the direct experience of exactly what it is.

incidentally, while we are on the subject, there is something about my experience that i should be honest with you about. when i gaze directly at (,contemplate, meditate, whatever) what i think people call my 'I' or my "consciousness" the thingey itself just hazes into oblivion ... but i can construct, generate, synthacize, (train or learn), pretty much whatever emoition i happen to like in relation to it ... but i really do not feel any *truth* in the relationship of the thingey and the emotion ... you might say i am aware that i am just making it up.

yet when i actually interact ... when *I* rubb against what otherness is out there ... in what i say, write, and do ... then me feels a truth between what i feel and how i would describe it ... i call that me being conscious ... er, me be-ing part of consciousness, eh?

I like. I have different experience having contemplated it intensely for myself. Ambivalence in the *truth* domain coupled with haggling about direct experience may enhance the oblivion, but the ringer as to when you interact with the World is awesome. (Our difference is Virgo vs Scorpio - i.e. phenomenology vs dynamism) . The interacting with the world thingy is similar to Werner's ideas about being "in the world" & sourcing from self via declarations & being totally authentic & congruent with your declarations.

Maybe need to refocus on what you want to focus on. Consciousness is a distinct word from Ego, myself, who I am etc. At least I get two distinct experiences.

well sure one can draw a distinction between things that are even intriguingly connected. but in a significant way it makes no difference in what i said. if i focus on either aspect itself the thingey itself hazes into oblivion. perhaps we are just different in this regard.

Your results may vary. Your mileage may differ.

i tend to agree(?) that any judgement of higher or lower would be fundamentally flawed.

not agree - just differ .. the jury is still out ...
