Stop nesting

I've noticed that nesting is not helping us communicate here at fastblogit.   I think just letting the sequence of dialogue carry the dialogue train might just work better. 

I seriously suggest that we try to  nesting and see if it does improve readability and flow.  Quoting inline the specific thing a comment is addressing does not take that much effort and ends up showing the flow better.

but of course.  , i never wield a heavy hand here.  this is not about control. 

this is about being aware of the effects of nesting and adapting to them.  i mean you, yourself have complained that grocking a nest is too tedious to do.  So we can adapt just by using it sparingly and being aware of what it will look like tomorrow or the next day if we want to refresh where something was going.

The challenge is with some people prefer to "answer" just one of myriad statement in the contents & the discussion becomes just a barrage of comments - sort of like FaceBook. Facebook is rarely conversational - not meant to be - mostly vanity.

well one way to adapt to that is just to jeep each comment to one subject and not put a lot of ideas in the same comment. 

then too, if the original comment that has lots of separate ideas already, well then  respond to just one, and leave the stimulus in place.  then if you choose you can respond to another one of those ideas in a separate comment.  just make sure that in the text of that comment it is clear what you are responding to.
