We tell stories about beings with faces which attribute personal characteristics to anthropomorphic vegetables. The stories are in our imagination. The vegetables are real. We also tell stories about angels and daemons and also give them anthropomorphic characteristics. Those stores are also in our imagination. The anthropomorphic characteristics of the angels ... er, well those characteristics are just stories ... but the beings themselves, sans our spass ... well those forces exist just like the vegetables ... do they not?

ncidentally, it must be noted that outside of reports in the press, i can find on evidence on any official Catholic websites that Pope Francis actually recognizes exorcism or the existence of daemons. Here is one official rather lengthy espousal of Catholic doctrine re demonology.

According to canon 322 paragraph 1 of the Codex iuris canonical, it has approved the statutes, giving the IEA private legal status as an international private association of the faithful according to the canon 116 paragraph 2, with all the rights and obligations established by the Code . The idea of bringing in association exorcists came to Italy to Father Gabriele Amorth, a religious of the Society of St. Paul, in the eighties of the last century. At that time it was spreading occult practices and a growing number of faithful, believing in danger or threatened, turned to exorcists. Then matured in the Pauline idea of bringing together the exorcists to exchange experiences and ideas in order to offer a more practical and effective help to those who turned them. Thus was born, September 4, 1991, the Association of Italian exorcists. If one has lost his eyesight does that mean that the visual world no longer exists? The Anthrosophical World outlook holds that at in ancient times we all had clairvoyance & lived amongst the beings of angels & nature & demons, etc. We lost it though so we could evolve conscious rational thought & freer will. How are we doing with those, eh?

well not knowing, not seeing, is a two edged sword. when no evidence exists, any story can be true, or just made up. then too it may be partially true and partially made up. that is where conscious rational thought leads us.

but there are forces that we can feel in action today ... my assertion, raised here, is that there is no evidence whatsoever to associate anthropomorphic characteristics to those forces.

... i didn't even know that such was in question here. but, yes, to be honest, i can see how you might presume that it was.

in fact therein might lie the drama in the story that meg is telling. Don't eat the fruit that grows from the event, for you as you will certainly die! Your qualia will be their qualia and will feel quite alien to you. OMG, don't do it.

Well you seem to set "the narrative" on the opposite end of a spectrum from "pragmatic and practical". Me, i do not do that. So i get that (and this may not be true at all) you see what i call "the narrative" or "story" as a fake fiction. But to me it must exist and is always there whether i like it or not. In a way it is the spirit of my life. Sans a narrative the things of my life would feel like nothing ... their qualia would not spring forth ... rather i would be in some loop subject only to my base emotions.

Yeah, whatever you story about my weltanshauung & how it might/would (or NOT) work in you is OK . I am complete with that. I am happy with mine. It is not practical to try to match differences.

At this moment I am more into the pragmatic & practical. Opinions & story are less useful. Still over the years I have developed a Weltanshauung which works for me. You may liken it to a story & yet for me it works. RS-GW-AC-TR-RB-MH-PR-WE-LEC-UCLA-PJ2-USN-& all the friends & lovers along the way - (relatives included) etc. have all contributed to my research which will never be finished.

so the qualia for you seems ... and i can only feel the outside of it ... to be all about how bozo's opinions and his ability to maintain & perpetuate his own story. whereas i'm like feeling about how we anthrophomortize fruit and tell stories about them just like we anthropomorphize daemons and tell their stories too.

Mark, mark ... i do try not to tell a story about *your* weltanshaung for that is for you and you alone to do ... and yes totally, were that i did it would certainly be me telling the story and not your real narrative (or the spirit of what you are doing). But we *do* live in the same world of facts and relationships and their changes. Actual communications about those things which we share and how our respective narratives connect with them is something that *is* practical for us to do. One might even presume that is what we are doing here ... er, why we are here ... but then that would be just a story that i made up right now off the top of my head

I am having a hard time finding anything useful in this conversation. I am not inclined to dig hard to find it. Philosophy is not very useful except perhaps for a professor or writer of books & epigrams. This item is not practical for anything I am doing with the possible exception of talking with Seth.

... er, but i am working on it. but the story seems to be a telling of an alien possession. i wrote some paragraphs at various stages of the narrative ... perhaps i should make those public ... and then write a paragraph of it where some drama that you might expect is actually happening.
