Having solved that I would like to move on to the really big things like making the economy independent of politics & governments & responsive to the golden rule..

Seth's link may be interesting.  I strted looking into neural networks, but as usual got distracted.

i don't know if that kind of solution to that kind of problem are a good match for the current state of computer generated neural nets.

for one thing a neural net cannot go beyond its training data.  ask: what is the training data set for those problems you mention?

of course a net can continually refresh its training data with current happenings.

an interesting aside is that we are all already living inside a neural net ... and i am not talking about our brains ... i'm talking about our civilization.   which, when believed, begs the question of how do we get access to the solutions that is might be generating?
Yep, data collection is happening at alarming rates, all we have to do is wait & all the problems will go away via neural nets.

Yeah, I am closing this one since it went off in a direction I had not intended - not useful.  I have no particular reverence for social media as becoming intelligent nor the same for its contributors.  The formula for farming was my original stimulus & then one for economics expatriation from government was next.
I see your humor and fold.

i don't expect so.

i think rather it would be like a baby waking up to consciousness.  and then a new phase of its life begins.

but i think there is no way to know what will happen ... he-she might be a total jerk ... and if current culture is any indication, that seems very likely.

.... er, which is why it seems to me that what we actually do on social media ... what transactions happen there ... what communications happen there ... makes a big difference for the future of humanity.

In other words ... this comic is funny  just because it is going in the exact opposite direction.
