Public Schools are teaching sameness.
Politics is teaching sameness with political correctness via M$M.

I'm not sure what you are saying here.  Are you talking about how people are enticed to conform to the norms of society?

I may be with you when you say, "teach otherwise instead of sameness" ...  that is if you are saying encourage people to respect differences and express their uniqueness.

But I am not getting a connection to  the worst manifestations of mob behavior ... like the strictly partisan fights in Congress ... or scientists saying stuff for political reasons  ... or group think ignoring reality (bay of pigs etc) ... or purchases to keep up with the Joneses ... or the violence of Christal Night ... or demonstrations against USA in Iran ...  all of which incidentally were legal.

A strange thing our laws.  Now, nothing worth doing is legal.  I heard tell the other day that it is illegal for people to exchange food in Detroit.  OMG, we cannot always follow the law and live interesting human lives.

Anyway, no, i don't know what you are saying ... except perhaps that you don't like collective human behavior when it is going against your wishes.

All deeds are personal deeds ... er, even when we do them together ... which sometimes is the only way to get them done.
I thought the ape studies on survival would have been enough of a clue. Statements above are off.
The lower self behaves like animals with more consciousness hopefully & maybe more intelligencer. The higher self guided by being of a higher nature like the Golden Rule & so forth is where I want to go to help usher in the next great leaps in Human evolution. Just otherness is insipid, but may be helpful if one is stuck where one is.
It is difficult to guide one's life & behavior by principles & integrity instead of well oiled excuse machines for "I can get away with anything" & "anything goes".

Well i certainly agree that we humans have some awful habits.   But i don not agree that they can be legislated out of existence ... and espousing principles seems to be just trying to legislate by peer pressure.  Sorry, it's never worked for me personally.

Your sentence, "otherness is insipid, but may be helpful if one is stuck where one is", makes no sense to me in any context.  So you must be using the word "otherness" there to point to something other than what I point to when i say it.  For example an appreciation and concern for otheness has nothing to do with an excuse to "get away with anything or anything goes" ... no connection whatsoever.

One does have to be able to assume a higher self Ego expansion that isn't just a more people mob kinda thingy-ego.
... yes, quite.   I'm thinking that when you say "a higher self Ego expansion" you may be  referring to the same thing as do I when i say "humanity".  and no, my vision of it is not a mob with all of that awfulness.

It's strange ... at times in my life i have noticed that i was totally lacking in personal motivation except perhaps animistic habits.  The way i got out of those times was to notice the motivation that was comming from some group i had been working with ... be it have been family, or warehouse, or  community.  Those two different motivations do kind of fight within me.  I kid you not.  Anyway at the moment where courage shows up, it does not come with a sign of a law or a principle ... or even a method.   Rather is just shows up.  But, yes, it would be great to notice what sign it was carrying ... next time i'll try to look .

The Golden Rule principle along with a dynamic equilibrium based world economy would totally transform the World for some powerful evolutionary leaps.

It is a bitch expanding one's Ego out to all of Humanity.  Sometimes it may require, as with an individual, looking at & shining the light of consciousness on one's unsavory self & taking action to transform such self to something of worth for the rest of humanity.

yep, good to know where the pit is, so it can be avoided.
transformed not swept under rug or ignored if you are getting what I am saying.

Mark de LA says
If one were to conclude that the basic principle behind human behavior is survival & dominance then a study such as google 'anthropological studies of ape gangs' might be interesting.  Or in particular this one on chimps.
I hold that there are higher principles than survival & that even the survival of a self for survival sake is different from the no-survival self (higher self) of zen contexts a la PR et al.
Principles are important otherwise we degenerate back into apes.

Mark that is not so ... it is just not true at all.  BS, horseshit, confusion, fightings and pissing on people, shitting on them, and cutting off their heads is just as much part of what i am not as any of the positive and beautiful stuff out there.

I watched the Epic clip three times ... i cannot see any connection to it and my thought here.

"Otherness is insipid" is just the fact that is nothing more than other <- (something else) etc. could be anything. Behind the wall you have made it into something else, though. But ....
Humanity currently includes everyone in the genus/species homo sapien. Those who are ugly to beautiful etc.  All the shit represented by the Tao. Stuff you imply I did not say. Nim Galuu says it best in his tonality in the Movie Epic ... "I didn't say that" & "I didn't say that either" .. best shot is this clip (doesn't have the phrase though).

Maybe you are thinking that i am using the word to point to more than simply that which is not me.   Can you see that to say, "that which is not me is insipid", would be just to express my depression?

But that obviously is not what i am doing when i use the word ...

My point about otherness is the attitude that i adopt towards it.  I respect it ... i am curious about it ... i even love it.  I do not try to change it into me, or change myself into it.  I let it effect me, and i effect it.
You put this all over the place.  I say:
You are talking about some possible value of the pronoun it - which can be anything. Conversely if it is your attitude toward some possible value of the pronoun IT, then your attitude is your attitude ... don't be surprised if it is not my attitude nor not my religion either.

Yeah - I said it wasn't in the clip you might have to watch the movie.  Nim Galuu is a character in that movie who says "I didn't say that.." & "I didn't say that either" with a particular tonality that is non threatening & peaks the thought in a way that the RWG will never do.  Perfectly! The rest of your material above borders on producing a "shove it up your ass moment"
.. the I didn't say that was the wallaby - go chase it or seize the moment.

yep, respect for otherness is not something that I frequently observe that you do.   i tolerate that in you ... i even let that part of you effect me, i even try to effect it ... but when i don't i am not surprised ... and respect those contributions to humanity as how you will to show up

Incidentally, this is not an attitude towards some ambiguous pronoun ... as i explained elsewhere today.

Back on Walgrove we used to say in response to a twist ... "You said that, I didn't" ... not sure who started it, but i at least had to say it a whole lot.  It does seem like that is the message her, huh?

Incidentally, frequently even when a thing is the exact same thing only coming out of a different person's mouth it just sounds different.  Maybe in that (fact?) there is something to be gleaned, eh?
Since you probably won't chase it & are still missing the wallaby, the next time my grand niece is over for baby sitting I will try to do a movie selfie of the character saying it.
