About: regional food hub at 21 acres — 21 acres

source:introduction email

Hello Folks -- Thank you for attending the meeting we held at 21 Acres in the Spring to discuss food hubs and the Puget Sound Food Hub.  I thought it might interest some of you to know about our next Tuesdays at 21 which is related to food hubs and helping small buyers overcome barriers to buying Certified Organic and sustainably produced local farm product.  Below is a description for more details.  Tuesdays at 21 are casual, small, group discussion-based gatherings on topics of interest to the region.  More detail here:

Tuesday@21 -- September 23, 2014

Puget Sound Food Hub: Entrepreneurial Connections in the Local Food World

We will be talking about local food systems -- the challenges and opportunities of sourcing food from local, sustainable producers. The benefits of doing so for the local economy, farm land preservation and for the environment.  As part of our efforts to foster stronger relationships between small food businesses and farmers who are using the best practices as stewards of the land, we'll explore ways to remove barriers for buyers related to logistics and costs of Organic Food.  If you are interested in purchasing local, sustainably produced food for yourself or a business or know others who might be, this Tuesday at 21 is for you.

Please be sure to let me know if you have any questions.  Cheers!

Do you folks compost your bio waste?

So people exchange food & bring the waste products back after cooking & eating?

no silly ... food waste always goes into a separate channel.

this item is about food distribution, not the waste end of things.
FYI, it also had a compost component. I was talking about leftovers & peelings etc.

well i don't seem to know what you are driving at any more ... the intentions of your posts do not make any sense to me.

anyway sometimes we do exchange even food waste ... for example Lina asked me for the seeds of my pumpkins for her chickens ... which will give me an excuse to go visit her family.  i love to watch this alternate distribution network grow and the healthy effect it will have on my life and the lives around me.

kewl.  If you don't understand my posts on your item just delete them.

hmmm ... well note i did not really say i didn't unserstand them ... rather i said i didn't know why you post them ... how you intend to effect the world by saying the stuff you say.   in other words,  you said that to say what?  to have what effect on me?  to have what effect on yourself?  to have what effect on our communication?

<--  maybe something we should consider, eh?

Well my suggestion was not really about you and what is easy or preferable for you ... yet it was not surprising that you would reacted to it as if it were.

... rather it was about us and the effect of the things you say on us and the usefulness of our communication.  so it's not just about you, and not just about me, but rather is literally about us.

I know, that is a We kind of thingey ... so sorry that a part of you is preventing your hearing that kind of message.
Yep, the part of me that is in your head.

Well it don't make much sense that something private to me is causeing you not to hear me.  Or would be causing you to get your panties all in a bunch about me using the first person plural pronoun.

It has been a long time since someone told me how us should behave.  I think it was in 'NAM.
Don't think you have the rank.

just a proposal ... not a command ... no rank necessary.

last time i looked you were a soverign being ... and quite knew that you were ... and, as it is impossible for me to force any compliance, i don't know why you are talking now, as if I could.
