items vs quads gives us forms

So far we have developed items.  These, broadly speaking, have the ability of entries or items that flow through the blogosphere from blogs.  These item suffer from being very unstructured.  They have a content area (in this domain that is just what can be typed into a rte box) and a very limited amount of "meta data" attached.   Tagging the can be attached for ease of information retrieval but any way you hack it you get unstructured data and even if you extend feeds (rss and atom are very extensible) you still are limited by what the feed community can absorb.

For structured data SQL is king.  However that suffers from the necessity of defining different schema and a different vocablulary for each new kind of data.

RDF triples, see google rdf triples, allow us to create structured data where one does not need to define the schema for each new kind of data.  What is more it comes with a very logically defined vocabulary which has been standardized and hense is the same world wide.  The vocabulary is extensible and new ones are being released every day.   Rdf, however, suffers form being difficult to understand and implement and does not have any standardized manner of specifying the context of a set of triples.

Enter, Quads,  see quads, For humans to read and edit quads, they should be displayed and edited with humanly understood words..  Quads provide for everything that RDF triples provide, but are easy to implement, and easy to understand.  A quad has four primary elements: context, subject, verb, object.

We can define a "form"  as matching the common sense understanding of a business form which can be filled out by a person or computer and processed to control some normative process.  At the simplest level a [title quads form] is a set of quads with the same subject and context.

Are you wanting to see a mock up of that as a quad ?
I guess so. As far as I can tell a quad is 4 things. So far as I can tell that describes the sides of a square or a multiple birth resulting in 4 people or even the shape of my monitor - not much to worship there.

you may not want to refer to the title of this item, as it will prolly change. Instead refer to it by 1794 or of course quads

PS: Each form here will probably have a URL. For example: http://fastblogit.com/user/private/seth/options would yield the user default options for my group. The pivate in the url would mean that unless you were loged in to group seth you would not be able to see or fill out the form. The form would be presented just like a traditonal web form and would function like a traditional web form. It would not look and function like an item. However in the quads table in the db, it would be composed of quads records.

so what would the quad be for this [rss contex subject-area tag] or something ?

. I don't know what "this" refers to.  I look at wiki references as things that might go into each of the 4 quad slots.   I suppose we could  define a  wiki reference for the entire quad, but i kind of think that the design would be something else.  If "this" refers to the entire item, then there would need to be quite a fue quads that would express the entire item, but then why not just use an item.  ...

Think of it this way:

Forms --composed of--> Quads --composed of --> 4 references (context, subject, verb, object)

Forms are used to process things in a normative manner just like a bureaucrat will have you fill out a form.

Well it makes a lot more sense as the subject of the 1802 I attached it to. Somebody was looking for an aggregator of rss feeds refined to the level of tags, methinks.
well, i dont grok the connections you are making.  Rubel is talking abut aggregating items and, me thinks, giving them tags if not intentional tags.  I suppose the intentional tags could be expressed as quads, but i think the taggings could do that quite well.  The taggings flow out into the feeds  as  <catagory>...</catagory> or  some other such tag depending on the feed format.   Are you wanting to see a mock up of that as a quad ?
