#LOL … happened upon this article. I find it’s base assumptions false. Like the idea that data is isolated and cannot be moved or shared easily between cloud entities. I have been doing that for years and today’s cloud services are geared to do exactly that, share and move data.

Sure, cloud sprawl is possible. So is house sprawl. You can either keep your house clean and neat and organized and love living in it, or you can let things pile up and take over all the free space and you live between columns and piles of stuff in your little spaces. Same with cloud stuff. It’s not like this guy says that it is an aspect of the cloud that cloud sprawl happens, it is an aspect of one’s own thought approach.

The cloud is as easy and versatile, or as cluttered and hard to manage, as YOU make it.

The new cloud Thinking Domains are well managed. Git repos and chains are used to easily spin up and transfer stuff anywhere anytime and all the flow is bidirectional and well ordered. No cloud sprawl here.
