Coagulated Energy anyone?

About: understanding the energy-based nature of reality and the world around us

OK if you can wrap your mind around the meaning of the word & the physics of the reality of what the word energy is pointing to.

it is interesting to note that we have discussed this before, see "What is shareable ?".

Kudos to fastblogit, our continued dialogue, and its tagging for making that connection.
There exists a distinction between experience, subjective experience & direct experience & some may & some man not be shareable.

Perhaps ... and such distinctions seem to be peculiar to your particular mind and have yet been shared with me.
I know where I got my distinctions.   They are not peculiar except perhaps to you.  You can either find a distinction or fail to make it.  Your call ; peculiarities not withstanding.

Well i think i have a intuitive experiential knowledge of energy.  I know when, and in many cases why, i get energy, and i can observe in my interactions with others how i can give and take energy.  I can feel when energy is being drained from a situation and when it is growing.  So no, i have no problem with wrapping my mind around the meaning of the word.

Unlike Nick Harding's article, i see no obvious need or use in thinking things like, "we are all comprised of energy", or "our perceptions and senses, what we see, hear, and feel, are merely a physical manifestation of what really exists".   For me there is just one world of many aspects and many beings interacting.  Actions and changes have consequences ... some of which can be shared between us.  It is easy to feel how energy flows through shared consequences.   What people call "physical" coexists with what i call "shared consequences" ... i find them inseparable. Sure it is the energy that matters to me personally and is what I feel subjectively and from which my humanity springs ... but can (or should) i see that energy as separate from the medium of consequences through which I give it, and get it?  could that energy exist apart from the consequences?  That is the leap that i see no need to take ... luring as it may be to some.  Once that leap is taken, as it has been historically, then focus switches away from doing the giving and the getting and into some subjective glory of a disconnected energy apart from itself.

... hard paragraphs to write out loud ... perhaps i should warn it is a work in progress.
Your use of the word energy above seems to be an extrapolation of personal energy like that expended closing the sphincter on your asshole as a particular large one needs to be unked off. I think the article has a more universal energy that includes both the quantum e=mc^^2 stuff as well as that which makes up matter & mind & so forth. Anyway thanks for your contribution.

Well i talk above of my direct experience of what i call "energy" ... it is necessarily personal and subjective.  I cannot deny that experience itself ... but how it is described to others is, of course, fraught with all the complications of communication between separate minds.

I see no reason to doubt that my subjective experience of energy is not a experience of the "universal energy" refereed to in the article.  It is just a first person account, rather than an objective third person account.  Now whether that is the same energy as refereed to by physicists in the equation e=mc^^2 is quite a matter of conjecture.

We all seem to share the consequences that, (as you put it), "make up matter" and "mind".  But our experiences of those consequences seem to be peculiar to each particular mind ... and seem only to be shared by careful syncing ... and detailed honest communication.

Better still you stretch your mind a bit & sync yours with what I have written & grok the distinctions.

well yes of course.  I choose the word "peculiar" for its unique characteristics and connotations.   But apart from its nuances i am using the word to mean unique or specific to some particular awareness.   So your experiences are specific to you.  er, nobody else experiences them exactly as do you.  Were i to experience those things uniquely and specifically as you do, well then they would feel quite peculiar.  So you see this is a issue of relativity ... something unique feels peculiar in my mind and normal in yours.  It feel normal in your mind ... yet strange to mine.   That is not because it is true or not in any absolute sense ... but rather because our minds are quite different.

Specifically here I can not experience (yet) the distinctions of which you have spoken.  Those distinctions are in you and their distinctness is only something that you are experiencing because of how your unique mind is currently constituted.  Now were you to engage with me in synching our minds with detailed honest communication about them ... well then they might not feel peculiar to me ... and might feel quite normal.

Actually i have understood your words long ago regarding your distinction between experience and "direct experience".  I have even grocked the assumptions that you hold in that regard which contribute to your interpretation of your direct experience.  Intellectually i understand your distinction ... yet i do not experience it.  Nor, were I to experience it, would i interpret it as your, strange to me, assumptions imply.  So your suggestion is quite unnecessary.

Regrding energy ... what is the most energetic being that you know of?

To my knowledge it is  the sun.   It just so happens that the sun has the most consequences for our human lives.  I take that as evidence that energy can be defined as sharing consequences.  The more consequences are shared, the more energy is present.
