i think we necessarily need to give up the notion that we own our on attention ... and even that we own our own mind. The individual ego identify *is* a natural boundary for many consequences ... but not necessarily for attention and mind ... for those it is quite an arbitrary boundary ... enforced only by choice or prejudice or habit. For example, my attention was pulled to this subject, not by myself, but because we share this mind thingey here. That i let that distraction happen notwithstanding that my intent was to focus on twin brooks farms this morning is just the way my peculiar ball bounces

PR suggests that it is the selfie which identifies with the mind & (all the rest of your stuff above) and as such, identity need not be so. It can change. But, place your "I" anywhere you choose & see how well you like it.
