Political Correctness IS Cultural Consciousness

... or at least a symptom of it.

PC is good and is bad.

The good part is that it represents a cultural consciousness. We need that.

The bad part is that it works against individual dissent from that consciousness.

As with all things in our Tao. There is a balance there to be found.

i just noticed a relatively object criteria for judging the utility of a tag. If it does not connect to anything else that is pertinent to the item or even the comments on the item, via the upper left panel, then it is to be judged as irrelevant and should be deleted.

People who continually affix such irrelevant tags are abusing the facilities here at fastblogit. There will be no consequences imposed on those people by the host here, except that their taggings will be deleted. But they should know that they abusing a consciousness here. Perhaps those people could spend their egoo energy better by discovering actually pertinent tags ... then the consciousness here will increase, instead of sinking into decay.

It *is* so very strange

how people let consciousness fall into decay with such a passionate zest.

There is only objectivity if words mean something. Evidence shows these days & in your posts that words are only suggestions & touch stones for more words.

Well tags mean the items that they connect up. So, yep, they mean something.

That words alone, disconnected from interpretation, can go in endless circles, is another good reason to make sure that they actually do point to places that others will interpret as being the same. There is a synergy with other in speaking truly with integrity. Obscuring that is working for decay.

Me, i like the decay of my compost to make soil. But the decay of our language ... the only profit there will accrue to demigod zombies who profit on our confusion.

The only reason to tag is to connect the item to another item or train of thought. If no such connections are going to happen, then the tag is useless and is just junking up our database. You may have noticed that tagging operations are getting slower and slower. That is because of the size of our tagging database. Abusing that hurts in many ways. Your are being asked not to do it. Rather to enhance our connections here by finding actually pertinent tags.

Yep, I know about the consequences of the consequences, they are being considered too.

I am not angry. My goal is to eliminate as much of the scrambling and corruption of signs going on in this mental space as possible.
