Yes certainly .... zillions of examples exist ... so here are some classess of the processess that exist in civilization:  communications in books and other media,  farming, education, government, business, theater, dancing, ....   for each class we can drill down to as many specific examples as needed.

What are you getting at with this questioning of the very existence of world around you?
I question everything. If one understands the roots of words & searches for meaning then one has questions. The three words are different.  Some munge them together & redefine the meaning as a munge for their own purposes.  I ask deeper questions & relish distinction.

Interesting how the Book Gargantua & Pantagruel dove-tails into this & otherness. It was a book I read in early childhood but probably missed the point of it all.  Some pictures from google illustrate.  I interpret it to be the state of the country, society is moving towards i.e.
Interesting how a person feels (loves/hates) that which is other than them (self/other) ... which is what i am trying to get at in my item titled "Cooperate vs Fight (and/or) Love vs Death" culminating in my poem ...

Love the triumph of death of self

Death the triumph of love of other

Yep! You are repeating yourself without making any more sense this time, than last. Nice couplet though - not quite Shakespeare since his made sense.

Well i think any instance of culture is also an instance of civilization and is also an instance of society.  We just use those words to refer to those instances in different contexts.  So that a sociologist may refer to society, and a historian may refer to civilization, and yet they may be talking about the very same specific processes.  For example a artist may refer to their performance as a example of culture, a century later a historian may refer to to that very same performance as an example of civilization.

Frequently i wave to all of that happening outside of my skull and call it the world.
I could just munge that all together further & just say:
That's Life ! & wander away ...

Yeah perhaps hard to interpret ... especially the second line ... the first line is fairly obvious, me thinks.   Originally i was tripping on the symmetry of the symbols and using it more as a meditation than any kind of declarative knowledge ... and that is the attitude i had when i just wrote it down.

Death here is the end of a process, not an end of a life.  i mean Zen initiation can be seen as death of self.  Is that same death a triumph of love of other?  Just a thought or meditation for a July night.
