yes definitely the would on such a project.

I think the tag "fixed" should be attached to a prior $bug when it is fixed, unless the item itself needs to be flushed into oblvion .. in which case just remove all of the tags .. effectively forgetting the item.   If the item has no redeaming value at all, well then delete the sucker.  Or if it has value, but as something different, then re tag it .. or edit it and reorient it.

If it is a wish, then maybe "satisfied wish" would be a good tag ... i think i just used that.

As long as we only have one $wish tag and one $bug tag it really does not matter what the tag is .. when we want to change it one only needs log into domain and change it globally.  We of course should synchronize when that happens.

Incidentally i encountered a group system items which me thinks is not working.  There should be no such group.  Do you remember the password?

I would have to look it up.  It was an early attempt to collect all the bugs & wishes into a group away from the public and to handle some of the things we have been recently talking about. I like the picture though.

It is an open group (;-))

what's not working about it ?

Seth says
... well ...

my biggest prob with it is that i need to log into it rather than just staying in my own group seth.   that being said, i realize that it is a group where i can share an item with another individual and both of us edit it or change tags on it there.  since you cannot log into group seth, perhaps that is a better place for you to put a system item than your own group mark

maybe this group is a afterall ....

but then why not demote group Test ... do we really need two such groups ?

Seth says
... alternatively there is group fastblogit

Mark de LA says
Do you need to kill it ? It may come into use sometime.

does not need to be killed for any value of "it".   we just need to decide which group to demote and which to promote.

Why not leave them all alone. The news feature will tell you if they are being used. I wish to keep my group Test as is. You can make it open if you like.

Actually this speaks to my wish list paragraph 1 1868 (;-))

i got that

but globla author with easy access to all of the groups they belong to is not an easy project and not even one that is on the plan prior to the fold.  it may, actually be waiting for a development on the web see google infocard and see also Kim Camerons Identity Weblog .

BTW , M$ (at CompUSA) now has a $49 wireless mouse with a companion fingerpring reader. I almost got one, but I don't know whether the wireless would also work with my Linux system without additional drivers. I would prolly have to get one of those USB switchboxes to attach it to all 3.
