Is that your belief -????
Who says that is going on - ????

Yes i believe that "cops too frequently use deadly force when it is not necessary and suffer no dire consequences".

Many examples can be found, they can be enumerated with a bit of attention.  One that happened here in Seattle comes to my mind.  An Indian totem pole carver was holding his carving knife sitting down and a cop shot and killed him because he would not drop it.  The cop was not convicted of manslaughter.  References can be obtained along with many more.   These cases all leave paper trails that are independent of the news media and hence can be investigated ... but, bear in mind, that the police reports are produced by the police and it is the Blue Line (cops protecting cops) which will bias the reports.

Based on the trigger happy liberal rag news ????

Fallacy
..................................................................................................................................

Why do they always bring in race? &
Why are you trying to push race out of the picture?

Well it seems to fall more heavily on blacks ... which is why they bring it up.  Whether this is true or not should be the subject of a scientific inquiry.

But personally, i really do not think that race is the most important thing re these events.  I think this is more the phenomena that the Zimbardo prison study disclosed ... its about the nature of giving one group power over another ... if there are no consequences for abuse, then abuses will happen.

i doubt that anger will help us get to the bottom of this.

Well of course i really do not know what your "understanding" of the use of the fallacies actually is.  All i know is that you continually refuse to avoid them.  My contribution was to point out to you why they are useful ... to tell you my opinion of the positive consequences of them being avoided (more focus) ... or of the negative consequences of using them (less focus).

For example, if the matter at hand is cops being trigger happy with no dire consequences, then race and the other matters of 18799 are red herrings which tend to distract and defocus our discussion of that matter.

Is that the veiled message that you wanted to hear?

Yeah we encounter these rules in various guises.  I'm just glad we have these methods ??? to help us focus: do more fallacies to focus less, avoid them to focus more
-wtf?

a method is a way to accomplish something.  The something to be accomplished in this case is an increase in focus.  If there are no red herrings on the field, then the field is focused on the matter at hand.  I call that an increase in focus.

What do not understand here?
Well the bolded was a lost reference or pointer to something in your own mind. Your explanation seems to be dripping with veiled blame. Munging, by the way, is lack & loss of focus often precipitated by an unwillingness to focus upon what has already been exposed, but probably disliked. (see also *** as an example).

Well how we get something done is a method.  That is not just in "my" head, that is in our language, and many people  who use that language think that same way.

I am blaming red herrings (and other fallacies) for defocusing discussions.  If we eliminate those culprits, then we increase our focus.  There is nothing veiled here.

We have a disagreement on your "munging", can you relate that to one of the fallacies?
The bolded was still a lost reference or pointer which you still have not acknowledged & have continued on to munge yourself as correct with more herrings of your own - enjoy!
Your contribution, while welcome, needs reflection as to what you think you were contributing to my understanding that was missing before you said something. <<== clue!!!

Yep, cherry picking will get you those sets of beliefs & often turns into racism on either side.
Chris Rock 's advice would have solved the Indian's problem.
There is too much munging to have a clear debate plus your editor apparently does not allow a full quote of your comment all at once. It is interesting that the Baltimore mayor is getting out.
Nobody gave "power over" another group to anyone.  Officers of the law are there to enforce the law, Obama noltwithstanding. When a dirsrespect for the law is encouraged chaos & anarchy begins.
move your comments somewhere else since the editor doesnt work well for the quotes beyond a couple of nests.
