I think most people presume that Pope Benedict resigned because of the scandal.  After his resignation we heard almost nothing about it ... it just went out of the news.
Who is in your birdie list. Me, I presumed it was politics or maybe Alzheimer's dementia.

i guess we could read about it from some people who would know, if we actually cared .. which i don't.  i merely recorded my impressions that i had in my mind ... interesting that you got a quite different impression.

Yeah, I have similar feelings about your post.

apparently, then, Crowley was training fools ... for no being is free of ever kind of limitation.   perhaps he was doing a bit of hype in his advertising.
Yep - the argue-bitch still has Bozo by the brain-pan & he can't yank loose.

Well i think that every being has some limitations on what they can do ... a tree cannot simply learn to walk down the street.  But i did not automatically need to assert my opposing belief when you repeated Crowley's advertisement.  Rather I considered my options, one of which was to ignore his ridiculous exaggeration, however I quite intentionally chose to provoke you with the possibility of discussing it.  It might actually be a interesting topic for inquiry between us.
If that makes me a "argue-bitch" in your eyes, well then, so be it

yes definitely,  i agree.  Frequently we believe in limitations that do not actually exist.  Suspending such a belief will actually help eliminate it.

But if the limitation actually does exist, then argue or not, the limit will be there.  Given normal situations, you will not jump bare naked off the top of a sky scraper and live to testify about it.

A fitting book end is this:

LimitMan says
Bozo must like to think inside his own box. Thing is there is no real need to limit oneself (except for the stupid) who would do stupid things. One never knows whether he can do something he has never done until he tests it out. (stupid people may often find that out by being not stupid & test it out) Anyway arguing for you own limits is OK for you & your own behavior & you will suffer the consequences. Arguing for those of someone else makes you an asshole.

LimitMan says
Popes & swamis & politicians all sell salvation & that you need them to get you to salvation because you can't do it by yourself. Salvation is eternity  for the selfie. Politicians sell you an eternity of material benefit which of course end with death, but they also sell you that one life is all there is & that is the best one can do - bread & circuses for all; the Trinity (body, soul, spirit) * being banned as heresy by the RCC** ~ 386 AD & materialized by other ecumenical councils since ~850 AD.
~
* they keep the words but the soul is just psycological neural network of the body & the spirit barely anything more than the qualia of the selfie.
** Roman Catholic Church
