Word Salad Dressing

Word Salad is an apt description I first heard in conjunction with the TV Show Boston Legal with James Spader - example here near minute marker 1.
The challenge for me with abstractions & extreme abstractions which include mentographs is that I can make no pictures or representations or meanings of the word salad content. What is even more ridiculous with the mentographs is I have to convert the mentographs & diagrams into words to understand wtf they are all about & then I make pictures & other mind stuff that makes sense to me!
p.s. There are some apps to generate word salad, but I don't have an Android or other supported device to install & test them to see if the sauce is any good.

Whatever one occupies his mind with is the lens through which one sees the World. One sees more of what one needs to protect the selfie from & less of other things.  The selfie survival mechanism helps spread the new age meme salad.  Such is the ecology of the mind unless one efforts a bit to raise one's consciousness out of the purely effortless absorption of M$M, TV, Internet, Twitter, social media dross level reality & actual humans one knows.
I liken consciousness to an Iceberg - or something immersed in water - it can float at it's natural level & only 10% of what is there will show up without effort.  OTOH, with some effort one can go below the surface of the water & explore & sometimes something amazing will reward one's efforts.

Well i can see most of that .

Interestingly enough your first sentence is an alternative coding of my coding of Bateson's: "We create the world that we perceive by selecting  from it to conform to our stories".  Thing is, in my mind, looking at the ecology of mind that flows even outside of the "boundaries of an individual's skin" is not best seen through the lens of "the selfie".  And, as you observed, is is not best seen through M$M or even social media.  The context of where best to look is quite a topic of discussion ... and that context is almost certainly best determined by each individual.
Well,I say it is almost wholly determined by the selfie protection i.e. the story & maintenance of the story without making effort outside the story.

... well yes ... i would agree ... were i to re-code your sentence in my mind,  "if we don't make an effort to absorb thoughts which are flowing to us outside of our own personal story,  then our concerns will be only our selfie story." ... which certainly rings true over here.
Yep - I wrote all about your recoding penchant in 18857 an artful disagreement which negates what I have already said with a smile.

wow, i predicted that response as well, proof is in an my email to myself.

The only thing i don't understand is why you apparently interpreted my re-coding as "an artful disagreement [which would] negate what [you] already said", when in fact i was agreeing with your and in fact so stated.
Your rewording does NOT say the same thing & is pretty much your party line.

Ok, if you say so.   But then i am failing to parse your "Well,I say it is almost wholly determined by the selfie protection i.e. the story & maintenance of the story without making effort outside the story" correctly.   So, could you elaborate on what you are saying there so that i will get it?

Here is a great example of robot psychology both meanings senses intended - what a robot would have in its psyche & the kind of thinking that would evolve such theories.

well yes of course ... thanks for noticing.   a robot with robust intelligence might represent what is happening in its awareness ... a human might chalk it up to ghosts.
Or one could think just like an ordinary robot - a low priced meat machine programmed to protect its selfie. Something that could think "dissonance can destroy" would have a program to protect against dissonance. See also hipo-potus

Same as before. Mostly the stuff I pointed to in the first half of BofNK. It takes what PR called transformation & enlightenment to cast aside the self (I call the selfie) in favor of "true being" - Thelema calls it a kind of death in some places. Just looking somewhere else is just more selfie.

ok.

now these are big round phrases we are talking about here ... so the devil will be in the details.  But in any case "transformation & enlightenment to cast aside the selfie in favor of true being" is at least logically included in "thoughts which are flowing to us outside of our own personal story". No?

So i still see that agreement ... even though I am sure we are taking different paths there.
except I haven't a clue what you mean with your phrase - it leave no trace in my mind besides maybe the cosmic All.

ok ... i am fine with leaving the matter right there .

but just in case you are curious as to what my phrase refereed, i elaborated on it in 18913 and if that makes sense, you might also see that your phrase was a special case of mine ... hence no disagreement ... least, of course, ye make it so ... i certainly did not.
Well that certainly leaves a pile of HUH? on the fastblogit floor - watch your step!
Since I don't know what you mean or said I don't know how I could possibly agree or disagree.
Maybe just shine it on as you seem to be doing also in 18913
