What is the difference between what happens and what someone experiences?

What happens are the objective changes in the universe, what someone experiences are the subjective changes that only they can detect. That wording can probably be improved, but for the sake of this discussion let us call that distinction (1).

Once we are able to clearly make that distinction, at least in our language here, then we can ask what are some of the relationships between what happens and what an agent experiences?

There is of course, one obvious relationship: an agent effects what happens by what it does. This must almost be accepted as a premise in how we talk here. Let us call this assumption, distinction (2).

What does Schrodinger's cat have to do with these relationships?

If we distinguish between what happens and what we experience, then there is no such thing as quantum entanglement ... the only entanglement is in the eyes of the observer. If you don't know whether the cat is dead or alive, that really has nothing to do with what happened to the cat ... that is your affair, and not his.

Even a nutcase can have an experience, but to say that the nutcase's experience is what's happening anywhere else than in the mind of the nutcase violates "That which is, IS!" & it's corollary "IS IS!" & in the aforementioned case a nutcase having (possibly) a degenerate experience .

Note that the language of this item is using, "what happens", as a substitute to your "that which is". I claim both of those terms have been used to refer to the exact same kinds of existences. Yet experience requires an agent and their experience is quite distinguishable form what happened. In your joke, you focused on the cases where the agent was a nutcase. Those cases that can be funny, but lack any sustaining interest for me.
