  • Why is there even a background for the data and gadgets on the top? ... like to see it without that background, just the background of the river or blog.

Seth says
  • should be space between group header and first item ... maybe same as between title bar and group header

Seth says
  • there should be just one tag header structure including the navigation to other domains -- see next comment for image ... inserting images dont work here yet

Seth says

all of this should be one coherant tag header ... looks just like the group header only identifies tag and allows for navigating into other tag rooms ...

Seth says
Note, most of this redesign stuff,  the should be able to do, once he learns it

Seth says
control of vertical space in the rte box might take some learning ... not sure what the lines and red buttons do yet

this is something that i have been wanting to do for a long time ... make tag rooms projected more coherantly

and even allow for user editing the header ... but for that maybe need changes to the permissions model.   twitter seems to have something like that .... but i am not fluid with it

I really have no idea what any of this means. I have not started formatting the feed display yet, it's just carried over. I have been only working on the framework ... except that I fixed floated images to not cover text.
ok

at some point maybe you can show me how to style this stuff myself
LOL ... I can show you where, but you being able to do it yourself is something else  ... even I just stick to conventions I have learned over time. Being a true css master is a lifetime skill much like being an artist.  There are only a few masters.

hmmm ... strangely enough, last night in my sleep  i was imagining a new user/master relationship ... and this relates to group niche

Look at how it works now with these ...
  • Facebook, G+, Blogspot:
    • non existent - you take what you get - if it doesn do what you want, then go try to find sombody or call customer support or go on a fourm and ask
  • Wordpress.org
    • you paid your master to install it - now he is in South America - you'll figure it out maybe somhow
  • Wordpress.com
    • it's right there in the syleing pages ... try to figure it out ... you will get it eventually ... it really is real easy if you spend the time to learn it and if you have a certain amount of computer skill already .... woopse you need that master anyway ... let's see if we can find one
  • A fastblogit styled site
    • You know your master ... er that's why you are here ... just ask him ... he is a person not a inaccessable corp ... think Amway distributor (what's the word for that) ... maybe you have to pay him ... maybe you can trade ... all options open ... energies balanced  person to person in free market competition

Quote mangling prevention is now working. yes

  1. Whatever you edit inside the quote will be ignored.
  2. If you put stuff above the quote, it will be moved after the quote for you.
  3. If you mangle the quote source code in an attempt to override the security, you will be warned and your edit will be discarded.

well we will just see ---- yep worked like a charm --- except i crossed out #1
You must have used edit comment, not quote and reply. I haven't finished the feature for edit comment yet. You should not be able to chang things using quote and reply however.

quite possible.

... i took off the underline ... and quoted ... and now it sqys Quote and add a comment  ... i will also bold #2

did not take off the underline ... but did reject the bolding.
Now editing a comment will be quite obvious, because you only get to edit what you actually last wrote ... the quoted stuff is removed and added back after your edit.
Quoting and editing is still protected as it was.

... that worked quite well

sounds like not deleting the root comment is a really good idea ... never  thought of that.   it also encourages people to write those root comments with knowledge that they cannot be reframed

Yea right?

And you can edit your root comment later, but that won't change it in threads that fork from it.

and one more
Seems to be working. This means that root comments will no longer be deleted. They will persist unless manually deleted. Hence threads carry comments with them, but the root remains a pure thought and can be forked again anytime.
Also means that the root could be extracted and reposted, like if it is deleted maliciously. This brings up the interesting thought of being able to extract and fork at any level. Hum.
One more time.
