Consequences

Consequences are the things we invent to justify the rules we have made.

That is such a profoundly true and leading edge statement!

i get a belly laugh laughing from this one ...  the ultimate power of mind over matter … the final trump of insides over outsides … what is inside the boundaries of one’s ego is God itself … others are just a figment of imagination.

sorry, not my thing frown

Don’t know why you always go to that place. Nothing you said has anything to do with what I wrote. Your only talking about that “figment of imagination” thing that bothers you so much … and that thing is something you invent. No one, me included, has ever said you are a figment. You are you. I am me. The you I experience is the one I create, and visa versa. But that does not make you a figment at all. You are totally real.

The thrust of my response was directed squarely against your, “Consequences are the things we invent to justify the rules we have made”,  that is a clear description of  a triumph of what is inside your head over the consequences that are outside of it.   And yes, i go there just because that is the consequence in my head of your clearly stated belief.   Obviously  i believe that your triumph is just in your head …. nothing more.

Of course it is in my head. And in yours. Nothing more. Try and prove otherwise.

well that belief in your triumph is not in my head ...  i do not believe it … to me is is just your story.  rather i believe in consequences outside of my head … outside of my mind … i do not just “invent them to justify the rules i have made”.

sigh … but no there is no proof … this is an age old problem, see solipsism, well struggled for and against even by the ancient Greeks.
Yea. It is an age old problem. But it does have nice and very satisfying solutions with modern frames that are wonderful to experience as well. It’s only those who ignore the obvious solutions that continue to think it doesn’t have one.

When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

I will soon own a Tesla. No such rule. It starts simply because you sit down in the drivers seat and you are you  Much more compatible with the true nature of all things!

Interesting thing about the Tesla is that there is no actual “starting”. The car is simply in different states of awareness. When no one is around it, it kind of sleeps with one eye to the world. As people approach it, it wakes up more. If it recognizes you, it opens the door for you or asks if you want that. As you sit in the seat it becomes more aware and provides you with a display and instrumentation. Then you can tell it what you want, where you want to go, and it either drives for you or lets you drive if you wish.

It’s all a matter of degrees of awareness. Anyone interested in what AI is becoming in this verse should have a Tesla experience. I won’t say drive, but rather experience.

surprise wow … you experienced that in a showroom?

No. Tesla corp brought a few cars to Asheville. “Test expereinces” were by appointment only. My friend and I got appointments and experienced one for about an hour with a beautiful rep who was super nice and low key and answered all our questions and had fun with us going 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds and other ludicrous things like that. This personal non-pushy sales model is the Tesla way. The cars sell themselves, after they befriend you.
