Self Praise

I wonder (pondering) if self-praise of the internal mind kind & possibly external is worth anything, necessary or even helpful.  I suspect it is a waste of time. I say often beyond that it makes one wiggy not receiving same from the outside in a cognitive dissonance moments.

good question.   if i am more confident, then i can act with less tentativeness.  So would that not be the value of recieving praise from self and from others?

Yet I already know who I am & do not need praise to find myself nor can  I fool myself into believing bullshit; just saying.

well your question did not ask about “knowing who you are” or “finding yourself”.   i interpreted your question to be what is the value (or positive consence of praise).   Well I think it will build confidence.  When i have more confidence i can do things that i would not be able to do without that confidence.

Yep, already got that. As minor part of the right part of the rwg I notice myself adding stuff to my mind profile (selfie) not even being engaged in the RWG. Thought I would try to stop that.  It has been a question, mostly for myself, for the past few months every time I catch myself which is not all the times it happens.

well knowing you did good, will tend to build up that ability (whatever gages the good value).  the trick is the  knowing part.   how does one know?  Does telling yourself, and/or others tellin you, help you know?  I tend to think it does.  Don’t you?   Why would you not?

but that said, i do that too.  when something that i have done goes well … i am already aware of it … of what value the extra meta awareness, that i know, that i know it went well?  very little i expect.  but when it comes from others … well maybe i knew … maybe i didn’t.

Si says
It is not a waste of time to let your thoughts dwell and touch upon that which you enjoy in moments when you are feeling the love for it … because doing so will line up more of the same on your path ahead.

back to my old idea that representing something changes it.   so that when you represent to yourself that you did something that turned out well,  it might change you being such that you tend to do well more often.   ← notice, this representing things changes them is a powerful tool.   observe that happening (or not) in yourself … i think you must needs come to the same conclusion that i have.

Thing is I can not always predict how it will change … it doesn’t not always change to my liking  laugh… somtimes it makes the essence that was there hide or go entirely away … something about innocence … i don’t know.

Si says
Perhaps it does not always change to your liking because you are not realizing that the mechanism of change is LOA and is thus the preponderance of your thoughts in those moments. If you realized that, and noticed what the actual vibration of the preponderance of your thoughts is, you would know what the change will be … and then you could work on aligning your thoughts more effectively to what you want in those moments … it’s a process … like body building … but in the mind.

Seth says
omg, you are so mono with this LOA stuff.

Si says
It is what makes things work, at the base of all things, all processes, all outcomes. Once you begin to see it, it’s easy to work with it and have change where you want change and get the outcomes you want … in anything. So yes … why not use it?

Si says
LOA is the language the multiverse is programmed in. I am a programmer.

Seth says
i’m not saying that LOA is not useful … maybe even to the representing of innocence destroys the innocence phenomena ← i’ll have to think about your suggestions there.   i just know, instinctively, that it is not the sole solution to everything the way you are touting it.   the contexts that i experience are far more amazing than can resolve with any one singular spirit.

Seth says

Si says
Well, as you know, I like to fiddle with the code, and watch things change.

With LOA I can do that, with anything in my experience, and it WORKS.  I fiddle, things change, in any context. Yes, I know that many people prefer the mystery and surprise of it all … but I prefer the fun of fiddling and changing. LOA really is the language that all surprise and mystery and everything else is programmed in … and understanding it well really does allow fiddling with anything, anything at all, and that’s a whole lot of fun!

Seth says
don’t forget … there is no The multiverse !  ….

LOA seems to me to be one element in a plethora of elements … it frequently, but not always, obtains.

Si says
The more I understand LOA, the less I find that does not obtain with it. At the base LOA simply says “our thoughts create by attracting like”. Just like Marks favorite idea that creating one polarity creates the other, and that is in all things, so too, that which we think attracts is in all things as well.

Does not mean that a rose is not a beautifully complex and enjoyable and surprising thing on it’s own. Just means that we can tweak a rose, even create a different kind or color, simply by tweaking our thoughts. But we had to have the whole experience that came before the rose to have a rose in our experience at all. We can’t imagine new things without going through the processes that stimulate and grow our imagining potential … and that is what all the rest of life is about … growing and expanding our ability to imagine, and create, the next!

Seth says

so bozomic decomposition on this thought yields … going beyond something between a blond joke and a killed cartoon.  laugh

Si says

Seth says

Seth says
thing is, right there in that comment, you have two spirits going … er, not just the one …
  1. thoughts create other thoughts by changing towards likeness
  2. creating a spirit, creates its opposite
and that is just 2 … just the second prime ← funny bozomic stuff,  but you could use it to get my drift

Si says
Yes. I am not saying that there are not billions of things and different kinds of processes. I am only saying that LOA is a base principle that underlies all things and processes and going to it allows you to understand an aspect of experience in a way that will allow you to tweak it, change it, evolve it, if you want to. It really is like getting your hands in the code of things.

Seth says
and i don’t deny that in the least … especially since you said “a” and not “the”

Si says
Yes. There are actually four basic principles to the multi-verse. LOL is the only one I am interested in though, we couldn’t because it is the programming language.

~ the tig – facilitating your changes to your reality

Seth says
your sentence would be truer, me thinks even to you, were you to change it just a bit to:  “there are actually four basic principles to a multi-verse” ← then sombody else could think, “that might just be your multi-verse”.

Mark de LA says
This thought is no longer in group choy – move it where you like but not there. While self praise is a nice anchor & tool for focus a la NLP most of it here seems to be just basic egotism
note that the news still has it in its former group.

Si says
“The multivers” is the label for a particular model … so it is okay to be used. I have already said many times that it is just one model of many and that no model is the territory, but only a way to navigate. I don’t think I need to keep saying that with little words like “a” verses “the”. It is the map I use because it is the most complete one available today. It’s my map in hand, so it is “the map”.
